Disney Sofia The First 10" Amber Doll

A really great doll and toy for your Sofia the First fanatic. I stumbled across Amber looking for a Sofia something, but am very glad I decided to get this. My preschooler often watches Sofia the First with both Sofia and Amber on her lap. It only makes sense that Sofia has her sister with her. When I first took her out of the package, I was pretty disgusted by her hair. It was very stiff and crunchy. But I scrunched it with my fingers and it quickly became softer.

I know very little about Sofia and Amber, but my granddaughter assures me they are the most awesome duo ever. (Last year, it was Daniel Tiger and friends. Times change.) They're cute dolls, oversized heads and all. The height of the doll overall is about the same size as a Barbie, but the limbs are thicker and the head is much larger. If your child (grandchild, whatever!) is into Sofia, she'll enjoy these dolls. :)

You really do get what you pay for. I ordered this doll because my grand daughter loves Sophia and Amber and because it was priced low for a 10 inch Disney doll. There is a reason. The quality is just okay. Her hair is TERRIBLE. It feels and looks cheaply made, but my grand daughter likes it so I'll give it a three.

My daughter received this doll as a christmas gift and she was very excited. It was such a nice change to see an amber doll! The doll itself is very pretty. She looks exactly like her character on Sofia The First. As others mentioned, the hair is hard and weird. I've encountered this with other dolls recently and it does brush out. This doll is the perfect height for play with the talking Sofia The First Doll that interacts with her animal friends, however, amber does not talk herself. I would definitely recommend this doll for any Sofia The First fan!

This doll is so cute. She is the perfect size for little hands not to big not to small. Her dress is so pretty. She is not over done looking which is great. Love the fact she does not have a cloth body! Little ones can tend to drop or spill things easily and I hate things that can mold! Her joints move great and she looks so sweet in her room.

She's cute, and that's where the good ends. There were two very hard pointed pieces of plastic coming out of the back of ambers head. One scratched my daughters finger. I have craft snips and was able to lop them off carefully. Now for the hair, what the heck? Not only was her hair hard and coated, it looks like someone hacked two inches off in back and it was just a matted joke. The photo on the box shows bouncy full hair, this couldn't be any more different. We tried brushing it, it's horrible. She has a pretty dress but it's stiff from the scratchy glitter and she has no panties leaving her naked under the dress. I'll be returning this hot mess. We own many styles of disney dolls and this is just beyond bad. You shouldn't need to wash or fix toys right out of the box. This is a lack in quality control and caring in general.

The hair is AWFUL. The dress is cute, it's obviously Amber, and my kid was excited, but whoa. The hair was ridiculous. It looks NOTHING like this. It's styled to kind of curl out at the sides in the box and then what feels like glue was applied. It's like someone gelled her hair in Elmer's. Also, it's not one length - it's cut way short in the back (looks like my 3yo was given the scissors) so that it looks fuller to the sides in the box? I have no idea. It's like awful, uneven, really short layers in the back and weird glue matted nasty. I brushed it out and it was okay, but it still feels really gross. I would not buy this again.

This was a Christmas gift for my granddaughter. Amber is her favorite character on the Sophia the First cartoon so she was very happy to get this. Very well made and will stand up to lots of play.
