Major issue fixed
In the past the issue I always had with the button on Schaller Strap locks was the screws were too small in diameter thus not holding well. My answer was to use the original screw on my guitar or bass and lightly grind the edge off the head of the screw so it would fit. This is no longer needed with this model, plus the screw is built into the button and uses a hex key (Allen Wrench). I really like these. A little pricy when bought as a complete set (strap lock and button) but if you already have the lock you only need to buy these buttons.

Much easier to install!
You need a 3mm hex key to install these but it is much easier to install these with this updated design!

Favorite Strap Locks
I have tried most of the strap locks available and for me the Schallers are the best. Nicely packaged, easy to install and secure lockup. They are a nice chunk of metal, certainly look and feels the most sturdy of locks.

Only work with the updated latches
I have some old style Schaller strap lock latches but these anchors don't fit them.

Classic with a small difference.
Used to get these and the button was separate from the screw that holds it into the guitar. Now it’s one piece…..great because there’s nothing to lose, but you do need an Allen key to install. No big deal, once they’re on, they’re staying there.

I have these on every guitar I own. Super solid strap locks that never fail. Prefer the slightly duller finish of the Nickel ones over Chrome but what ever best suits your other hardware I guess. These are the Mk2 versions and have a slightly different 'single piece' button than the older 'button and screw' type. One thing to note if you have other sets - the new buttons do not work with the older strap fixings so you'll have to fit the new Locks to your strap (bit of a pain if you have more than one strap but you can buy the parts separately if required). Good news though is that the new strap fittings work with the older buttons so once you've changed your straps to the newer fittings your still good to go if you have some of the older type on other guitars.
