Great Knife and a bargain at the discontinued price.
This is a great knife and at the discontinued price hard to argue. The knife exudes quality. The blade, lock mechanism, weight are perfect. Blade is 3.5 long and is a great size. It is sharp and holds the edge. The Stainless Steel is a great choice by Civivi. It is my favorite knife. Can you find one, with this quality of knife for less than $40?

Excellent Knife!
What an excellent knife. And at $42.50 it's one of the best bargains you can find for the quality you get. Razor sharp out of the box. Super comfortable in the hand. Excellent jimping. Smooth action. Solid lock up. No hot spots. I just got it and I already know it's one of my best knives. I got the black G10 with stainless blade. Looks very nice, and the blued liners give it some cool, classy pop. Could work as a gentlemens...or gentleladies knife...but I see it as an edc workhorse. I did switch out the stock shiny pocket clip for a shorter black one to carry the knife more discreetly. This knife is awesome, better than a whole bunch of knives that cost much more. Only wish I got one sooner. Now that I did, I am going to buy another. Tan, stainless, with blue liners looks good! Thanks Civivi for producing top notch affordable knives. Thanks Amazon for a fair price and quick delivery.

Just wow
Wow this is a good knife. Superb action, fit and finish. More comfortable in my hand than the full sized Praxis, which seems large and unwieldy to me. So if you want an improvement with different ergos, this a fine choice.

Real nice quality EDC
Arrived in a very nice package with a cleaning cloth, a nylon zippered pouch , a few stickers too. Smooth action that “broke in” became real early after 5-6 opens. Super sharp straight out of the package. Nice feel in my hand, fits well in jeans pockets. Only complaint would be the length. Make this boy 1/2” shorter on the blade and case and would be a 5 star for sure. All in all great value for the buck !

Well made and a good value
A very well made and versatile knife for the price. The blade length, cutting edge and handle length are nearly identical to my favorite kitchen knife, making this perfect for cooking chores while camping. Very sharp when new, it's too soon for me to know how well it will hold its edge, but from what I've read this is an excellent steel, so I expect it to perform well. The opening action is very smooth and easy with one hand, and there's no spring to compress when closing so it closes very easily with one hand, too. There are a couple small things I would change in a perfect world. The liner lock does not protrude as far as I would like to easily release the blade for folding. Also, the clip is an odd shape, so somehow it stops me from easily clipping and unclipping. Not at all deal-breakers but worth mentioning.

Buy it
As an old knife snob, I just wanted a cheap tear up knife. After a couple months I found myself continuing to carry this over my $500 knives. It takes an edge and holds it well. Keeping this knife sharp enough to shave with (literally) has been very easy. Even being in the dirt and sand, the mechanism hasn't failed, the lock still holds strong and it flicks open with ease. I'll probably buy a couple more just to have on hand or to give as gifts. 3 YEAR UPDATE: Believe it or not, I still carry this knife. No screws have come loose besides the pocket clip which I've had to tighten ONCE. The cut at the back of the cutting edge leaves a fantastic sharp corner (this will be a mandatory requirement for every knife after this). This is used when I need the precision of a sharp knife tip, but need alot of leverage and control so I don't stab myself.... That's never happened before.... Cough cough The knife takes an edge well and holds it well. I used mine as a screwdriver one too many times and snapped the tip off. The grain structure was decent enough, but I believe the good steel is only used on the cutting edge. The reason I think this is I reformed the tip of my knife because of the snapped tip. Where I cut back into the body of the blade to make it look right doesn't hold an edge near as well. I was careful to not let the grinding heat up the knife so it's not an annealing issue caused by me. So, either the body is one steel and the edge is another, or they tempered only the cutting edge when it was made. I like the size of the rear tab used to flick it open. It flicks open smooth as butter.... Even with ZERO cleaning in the 3 years of carrying it. I can probably count on one hand the days I didn't have this on me in the 3 years. I'd say this knife has had a very hard life with me and it's taken it in stride. It's been a hammer, a pry bar, a screwdriver, cut fuel lines against a steel plate, cut thin aluminum sheet, hacked wood, stripped wire, chopped wire, ect.... I've done stuff I shouldn't do with a knife and it still looks 90%+. I use it enough that I sharpen it 3-4 times a week. It's still razor sharp. The liner locks on knives tend to wear out after prolonged use, but this one still operates as good as brand new. I can beat on the blade with confidence in MY particular knife. It's kind of weird, I tend to buy a $300+ knife, carry it for 8-12 months, get tired of it and buy another. I haven't gotten tired of this one... I can honestly say this is the longest I've ever carried a particular knife. $40 knife, $140 knife performance. Buy 2 before they raise the price. I'm buying another right now. And no, I got NOTHING for this review and I paid for my own knife. Wish I got free stuff though LOL
