Liked the xhp70 emitter. Triple battery for extra power and they came in almost fully charged.Disliked the headband, extremely tight. I don't have a big head or anything but the headband is too tight to the point of cutting circulation. Also the emitter is bigger than the other cree xhp70.2 flashlight i have, putting doubt on the authenticity of the emitter.update on March 24th:a lot happened since the last review. the headlamp stopped working within a week. it would spark but light wouldn't turn on. I'm guessing that the small headband was getting stretched beyond the point where it was pulling the power cable off the light (the connection is soldered). anyway I contacted the seller and they responded before 24 hours was over and asked for my shipping address. sent me a replacement light right away. this one had a little better headband I think (could be wrong). but working like a champ since then. waited all this time to update the review. now I would give 5 star for the product instead of initial 3.5 star. also another correction from my previous post. I mentioned my doubt whether the emitter is cree xhp 70.2, it looks bigger than usual. now I realized that they used a convex lens up front to focus the light. that's what caused the emitter look bigger than what it is. also the difference between xhp 70 and 70.2 visually is central Cross separator is tight and fine in 70.2 compared to wide and distinct in 70. so I think we have a 70.2 👍👍.finally the seller made it right by me very quickly. excellent all around.

NEXT DAY UPDATE TO FIVE STARS: I updated my rating to five stars because the seller contacted me the next day apologizing for the incorrect ad information. They not only changed their ad by removing the words hard hat, but also gave me a full refund of purchase cost for the headlamp. I was impressed with the seller in the handling of my comment on their ad. THANK YOU SELLER! The ad implied that the light would fit over a hard hat, this is not true. It barely fits over my man's head with straps fully extended. He does have a large head and other headlamps he's gotten in the past would fit so tight sometimes causing headaches. He was excited that this one was going to be different because the ad implied that it would go over a hard hat, he was greatly disappointed today when he took it out of box and it fit just like the others in the past. Also because the cord going from battery pack to light is not long enough the cord always pull out from where it's connected on the circuit board of the light. He has to put glue (E6000) at both ends of connections to try and give it extra strength (see photo) Bummer because it is a very bright light and everything else is good.

The charge port cover is almost broke in two. Neither cover will stay put they are very loose and I just got the thing.I work outdoors in wet conditions and must have good covers also wish the lens was protected more im sure it won’t be long before it gets knocked off my head with the work I do and I expect the lens will be gone

This lamp is super bright. It is a bit heavy and being how bright it is, the charge is less than others. I do t even have to use this on high most of the time unless I’m in the woods, but when I’m working on the car or In the building I use this head lamp on low. Plus the battery will last a little longer that way

I have owned 20+ head lights, SO FAR ,this unit has worked well. The slip resistant coating on the inside of the head band is great , the metal construction of the flashlight itself is promising. The three battery configuration helps it last 8 to 10 hours.I am wondering is I can buy replacement parts ,such as the connecting piece from the metal flash light to the head band . Because I will break it in the hazardous environment in which I work.

Great headlamp. Very useful for working on cars. Definitely much brighter than my previous 1000 lumen headlamp. I had to return my headlamp because I thought it was defective because the light would come on for a brief moment and then go back off, even with batteries fully charged . Not until I received my replacement lamp did I realize each of the batteries was individually shrink wrapped and therefore limiting current to the lamp. Dumb mistake but Amazon made it right with me just the same.

Very bright. Holds a charge for several hours. Used it for gator and duck hunting.

I used this headlight for hunting. At first it was great! But after 3 trips, my light started cutting out once it has been turned on for a period of time. Then even worst, one LED stays on at times dimly even when turnt off, which makes it impossible to “go dark” when i have to. Besides those, this light is excellent. I really wished it worked the way it should.
