Opening your mailbox and finding bills is bad enough. Opening your mailbox and finding soaking wet bills is even worse.These mailbox grates work perfectly. Keeping your mail high and dry. Worked so well I purchased one for our neighbors.

The instructions for this gadget suggest sizing the product to your mailbox and then gluing it to the proper size. Not doing so will lead it to slowly sliding together to a smaller size. I didn't really want to glue mine in case I replace my mailbox with one of a different size, so managed to secure it using a small, short bolt with a nut. With all that done, it is quite effective at helping keep mail dry on rainy days.

Keeps mail off the bottom of the box and drier. Kind of overpriced, but I hate wet mail! Very sturdy material and easy to adjust size to fit the box.

Well, I’ve had this for a few weeks and I’m pretty happy with it. My neighbor hit my mailbox a few weeks back and the voluntarily replaced my mailbox, but unfortunately the model they used was... very much so not well sealed. My mail was consistently soaking wet, so I needed something to remedy the issue. When I found this I was thrilled there was something on the market that could work, and it DID. It’s thick enough to sit well above the pooled water, and is lattice in appearance so I can still see the bottom of the mailbox.It was able to stretch to fill my mailbox without issue, unfortunately it did get pushed back a few times from a mailman shoving mail in a little too roughly, but it’s still managed to do the job.I was MOST impressed with its durability, though. Shortly after I purchased this, ANOTHER bright or hit my mailbox. Miraculously, this durable little piece of plastic survived and was able to be put in to mailbox v3.

Fitting it to your mailbox is fussy, and my mail carrier dislikes it — “just another nuisance for us to deal with; doesn’t stay in place.”

Quality is poor for the price paid. There are excess plastic on the edges that should be trimmed from the production of the product,

I live in the country with a mailbox at the end of a long drive. I have had many issues with wet soggy mail but not now!!! This lifts it up and keeps it dry until I can retrieve it. I recommend this project.

This product is all plastic and folds up. I’d say it costs no more than $2.50 to make. Even with packaging and shipping costs, $25 is too much. This is a $10-15 product all day. With that being said, it does what it’s intended to do, keeps mail off the bottom of the mailbox so it stays dry.
