Apple MacBook Air (13-inch(33cm), 8GB RAM, 128GB Storage, 1.6GHz Intel Core i5) - Silver

Excellent product - the battery, speed and design all great - absolutely nothing to complain. However, the buying experience was ruined by HDFC Bank and the amazon customer care. Amazon showed some EMI rate on website, however, HDFC Bank (as usual) added a processing fee and charged a higher EMI amount (excluding GST)!! The amazon customer care upon reviewing all the documents etc just felt sorry for me and washed its hand off and mentioned that they are not responsible for it - in not so many words what they meant is they are not responsible for any incorrect info shown by its partner and if you have been wronged, then its your bad luck. So much so for all tall claims on customer centricity! Very disappointing - you can always expect HDFC Bank to take the customers for a ride but it is was not expected of Amazon.

I have had a macbook pro earlier, so this one's a welcome change in terms of it being light weight. My macbook lasted me a good 10 yrs hope this one does too. Although the laptop looks more like a bigger version of the iPhone. Battery life is just as much how you use your phone the entire day you have to charge at night. Same goes with this, if you are using it continuosly then you have to charge it at the end of the day. Earlier versions of macbook pro/air had much better battery life.

I was looking to purchase the 2020 MacBook Air but it was not available with the local dealers. I came to Amazon to purchase it and saw this 2019 model selling on offer around 85K, with 5% cashback on my ICICI Amazon credit card the effective cost was around 80K only and to be honest it was a steal at that price. I purchased it at that very moment and have not been disappointed. Pros: >Small form factor and light weight. Very easy to carry around. >Good performance for general day to day tasks like browsing, streaming movies and TV shows, using MS Office etc.(it is a Macbook Air, dont expect it to do heavy and professional tasks, for that you have Macbook Pro) >The bright and vibrant Retina Display >Excellent battery life. Cons: >Only 128 GB storage. Not an issue for me as I dont store any heavy files on laptop. >Butterfly mechanism keyboard. This has the 4th generation of the Butterfly keyboard so it is much more reliable and has more key travel, still I prefer the new scissor keyboard of my 2020 MacBook pro. However, I got used to typing on this in a couple of days and it is not a deal breaker for me. May be I notice the difference because I have another laptop, if this will be your only or main laptop you will most probably get used to it in a few days. Final Verdict: The 2019 Macbook Ail is still a very good option, but only if you can get it on an offer or deal which will make its effective price around 80K or lower. Anything higher than that I suggest you go for the 2020 Macbook Air i3 version which costs around 92K. Its 10th gen i3 is as good as 8th gen i5 in most day to day tasks and you get 256 gb of storage by default. If you can wait for the stocks to be available then it is worth the wait. But if you are getting the 2019 version or 80K or lower then it is surely worth considering.

The product is good Just a little expensive but totally value for money. Processing is very smooth and fast. Battery life of the product is truly bliss, With minimal use it can go upto 8-10 days How ever with an extensive use it may go up 3-4 days.

Do not buy macbook air 2019 model, there are a lot of issues with this laptop, after using it for more than 6 months I’m writing this review. After working on your laptop if you close the lid at night without shutting down the system, then in the morning when you open the lid, macbook won’t turn on, you have to press the power button for more than 4 to 5 times and your macbook will turn on as you have restarted the system, all your tabs opened won’t resume. So if you are planning to buy this macbook, then you have to shutdown the system after your work and then turn on when you want to work. You cannot close the lid straight without shutting down. I have contacted the apple support team for this issue and it took a lot of months doing what they said and finally they asked me to get it checked in a apple service centre, and during this corona time, it’s really difficult to reach a Apple service centre, and during the service you have to find another laptop to continue your work. Pathetic experience from buying this Macbook air.
