07 FJ Plug-n-Play
Installed 2 weeks ago, great so far. Pretty much plug and play. Here are a few things to share: 1. Quality seems good. Materials feel mostly on par with factory. "Made in Taiwan" labels on box and product 2. Same mounting points and plugs as factory (besides the DRL's). Easy plug and play 3. Same vertical and horizontal adjustment screw locations as factory and both can be adjusted when fully installed. Horizontal screw is near the top with easy access to adjust. Vertical screw is much lower and requires a long phillips screwdriver inserted through a hole near the top mounting point to reach, exactly like factory. See attached pic. 4. Mine required moderate amount of vertical and horizontal adjustments (and maybe even rotations, but I didn't see a way to adjust this). Out-of-box, they were pointed way too low and "toed-out". There are plenty online videos on how to aim your headlights. Attached pic shows after adjustments (with LED bulbs). FYI. These are labelled "VOL". See attached pic. This means you align vertically to the "left" of the cutoff "step" 5. Comes pre-installed with 65W H9 halogen bulbs which were still quite dim. I switched to these 60W H11 LED's and they're a lot brighter, much brighter than my BMW factory LED projectors: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0FDK7Z7GY. See attached video 6. Low and high beams use the same bulb. High beams just lift the mechanical cut-off out of the way. Everything works properly out-of-box on my 07 7. The LED halo DRL's come with separate dedicated bare wires (+/-). You'll need to figure out the rest. I measured about half Amp draw per side with a multimeter. So they draw ~6-7W each side 8. I made custom wires with waterproof plugs to connect left and right DRL's to the DRL fuse (#13) in the engine bay using add-a-circuit fuse adapter: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0742BZXC2. See attached pic. Since both DRL's draw ~1 Amp combined, I used a 2A fuse. I also disconnected the factory DRL circuit plug behind/below the driver-side headlamp. New DRL's now come on automatically just like factory. 07 does not have a DRL switch on the stalk, they just work automatically so not sure if this installation method would work on other model years. See attached pic of DRL's running automatically without any other lights on. By the way, DRL's are bright and very visible in broad day light but do not use them as low beams at night as they would not light up the road

Great upgrade.
Love the way they look. Significant improvement to light on the road. I choose these to keep the retro type look to the FJ. I’ve had it for about 5 years now, it’s about time I made some of these mods. Has DRL, lo and high beam. It looks like that’s just a change in the shutter positions to let more light out. I have my DRL unplugged so I tapped into the parking lights for my LED power. I used these 2in-2out wire connectors. I chose to do it close to the light. Figured it would be easier to add a plug back on than to splice wire if I ever take it off or replace them.

Great upgrade
The halos look good. The headlight it self is plug n play except for the halo wiring. After you install you will definitely need to check your position of the headlights itself (beams). Adjusting the beams was a hassle … took around 30 min extra to get it right. I also installed LED lights for better view.

Very cheap headlights fir fj cruiser
The drivers side halo burned out after 25 days of use and the passenger side headlight was not adjustable, the adjustment screw just spun. Do not buy these headlights, save your money and buy a real set! Gave 1 star because that is the lowest rating you can give. The seller will not respond, I have tried to contact them twice, and no response

Awesome Upgrade
The install of the headlights is plug and play. Simple install. The halo will need to connected separately which I tied to my marker light. I had a neighbor to help me with that but only took 20 mins. So far so good and looks great!

5 STAR so far...
Installed 7 months ago. Uses different bulb socket and the provided halogen bulbs give expected dull light BUT WAY BETTER light projection when compared to OEM. I did not think I would enjoy or be impressed with the CFL Halo but it is probably the largest compliment I get and they do provide great light for daylight running lamps. Very easy to access the wire harness behind the driver side headlight to connect the DRL lights. I have them only come on during normal day and with sidemarkers. They turn off when headlights come on. Strictly personal preference. I added a 5A inline fuse to keep a possible power surge into the CFL drls since the CFL runs on a stepped down voltage. Very sharp cutoff. Most likely will have to be fine adjusted, go slow with turning screwdriver. Select a LED bulb of your choice.

Much better than I expected
I was planning to get the Freedom retrofit, but their prices were too high, and the wait time was about four months. Instead, I bought these lights, and they turned out surprisingly good. These lights are made in Taiwan, and the quality is much better than the parts made in China. The fitment is just like OEM, but the plastic is a bit softer compared to OEM. The installation was easy, and it took me around 30 minutes to install from hood open to hood close since I have worked on the front facia before. I replaced AmeriLite's halogen H9 bulbs with LED bulbs and did not connect the halo ring for now, but maybe I will run them later. These lights provide a clean cut-off, so I don't blind incoming traffic with the LED bulb. I only wish they spread a bit wider, like 10 degrees more on each side. I applied Lamin-x film for UV protection. Let's see how long they will last since they only cost 1/4 of what Freedom retrofit charges (Freedom uses OEM housing and Mishimoto light units???) ***March 2023 update, The Halo lights have been wired up for a year now, and so far, I have not experienced any flickering or dimming units. Hopefully, it will continue to work without any issues (knock on wood).
