I ABSOLUTELY LOVE this piece! It is everything I hoped for. BUY this one! I bought the Queen size. It is truly a very large, heavy and durable piece of furniture. The wood is solid. It came in 4 pieces which was great because it was going to an upstairs room and made life easier. I found nothing broken and no pieces or hardware missing. I received the mattress first. (Then a day later the other 3 boxes.) The mattress does have a slight odor, but after a day or so left flat, it was fine unless you put your nose to it. But that has also since dissipated. The mattress has a foam core with a thick poly cotton stuffing surrounding it. The mattress has a zippered cover, but there is no way to remove the cover for washing (which is why you would normally want to remove a cover) unless you want the stuffing all over the place. So I don't understand why there is even a zipper but it could be convenient if you wanted to add more stuffing, rearrange the stuffing or even replace the entire foam core and stuffing if needed. But you just know this mattress will hold up as I don't see it sagging or denting in the center (probably due to the stuffing "protecting" the foam core. But time will tell. We will rarely be using this futon as a bed. We are using it as seating for my husband's "Man Cave" and it gives us the seating capacity of a full size sofa! 3 adults could be comfortably seated. But I love that the option is there to turn it into a bed when needed. It fit all my needs. The mattress cover is of very good quality and seems quite durable. I bought the Twill Khaki and the color is great! I have also used a sofa cover easily found on Amazon to place over the futon because I have kitties who love it! I saw many reviews where people had problems assembling. My husband had a few questions with the directions, but it didn't take very long (maybe an hour and a half? - not including the drawers) for him to put it together with a little help from me to hold a piece in place here and there while he screwed it in and then again when we lifted the back end to place in the grooves on either side to attach it to the seating part. I would recommend another person be available for these reasons. I DO recommend reading and thinking through all the directions FIRST and familiarizing yourself with the pieces. Missing hardware for us was NOT an issue. I LOVE EVERYTHING about this futon. EACH side of the futon has a small table that can be extended and held in place by wood pieces that swing out underneath to hold the side tables up and out. Simple to use and put away! When used as a bed, there are also wood legs that you are able to pull down to give extra support on the edges. It is easy to re-position as a bed, but you may need help doing it and getting it back to its upright seating position due to the weight of the mattress, but I do not consider this a problem. I think the way I have it set up is in the lounging position and not the upright position, but I love it at this setting. Kind of like a reclining chair set back at a slight angle. VERY COMFORTABLE! Perfect for my use in this room. I have only tried it at the bed setting and this lounging setting. I have not "played" around with the upright setting. I didn't feel the need to try to maneuver it into the upright position since it is heavy. You may want to play around with the different seating options BEFORE you place the mattress onto the frame. Although I have not yet put the drawers together, it has been stated in the question/answers area that they do not need to be removed before using the futon as a bed. I LOVE the idea of drawers being available for this set. I could put a queen size sheet set in them or maybe use for the controls for a video game console! Th pillows shown ARE NOT included just for your information. This futon is solid, NOT cheaply made and hopefully over time the mattress will hold up! I recommend buying this set that includes the drawers and the mattress. I am SO HAPPY I spent the extra money to get these options. Since it is a really big piece of furniture, I highly recommend you measure your area before settling on either the full size or the queen size. All in all I LOVE THIS SET!

This makes for a very comfortable bed and couch. It shipped a couple of weeks before it was expected to. Once assembled it is pretty heavy, It came in handy when we had extra company over for the weekend. My wife put an egg crate foam topper and a pillow top cover on it so it is very comfy. The directions are a little misleading especially if you got the model with the folding trays on the sides. When you get to the part of the instructions that have you attach the mattress frame to the backrest there are some long pins and rollers used that are inserted into to make the mattress frame assembly. If you have followed the directions, this is impossible because the couch frame ends are closed and the backrest is in place. The only way to do it is to remove the front screws from the laterals and loosen the rear screws so you can swing the ends open wide enough and remove the backrest. Then assemble the rear backrest and seat frame (mattress frame assembly) outside of the couch frame. With the couch frame open enough you can insert the entire mattress frame into the roller slots and close it up and reattach the screws. Also when opening it up to make the bed you want to ensure you are 2 or more feet away from the wall or else the backrest will hit the wall. All in all it is a nice looking piece of furniture and fairly easy to assemble.

Size: Full 4-Stars due tot he Mattress being terrible and not the one that was advertised to be included in the pictures. I was fully expecting to have to buy a different mattress for it anyways. The one that came with this was a really thin 4 inch thick mattress with terrible padding. You can feel the futons frame through it and its very uncomfortable when laying down. The positive side, this futons frame is great. It looks nice and is very sturdy. Putting it together was not hard to do solo. The roll-out drawers are perfect for whatever you need. It was hard to find a futon, especially a wooden frame, that has a "high weight" capacity (500-550lbs). All others had a weight limit of 200-220lbs which is enough for 1.5 persons to sit on in couch position which means they are poorly made. This one is not a cheap poorly made design.

I have the Queen size with the 2 drawers for storage. It arrived in 4 different packages on 4 different days. Nothing was damaged in transportation, yay! Assembly instructions and parts were all there. It DOES require 2 people to assemble this but the instructions are simple, easy and have illustrations. I love this couch with the utility of a bed if guests spend the night. When used as a bed, it is comfortable to boot!! I put a protective zipper cover on the futon for easy spill/dirt cleanup and a decorative cover for the holidays.
