Excelent GPU for the price around 230 in the time that i purchase
excelent gpu, works very fast, very quiet and very cool, no need for overcloking or anythingi tested in several games like battlefield 4 in ultra and high settings, gives me 35 to 45 fps in ultra and 50-70fps in high, very good against my previous card xfx ati radeon hd 5770 with this card i got 25-35fps in high and ultra without antialiasing 20-27fps, so it was a big improvement in performance, i think i can get more of this card r9 270x with amd fx 8350, i was using fx 4100 bulldozer good but not fast cpumy pc when i do the battlefield 4 testcpu amd fx 4100 3.6ghz @4.2ghz1tb seagate barracuda 7200rpm sata2motherboard asus m5a88-m am3+6gb ddr3 amd performance 1600mhz600 watts real dr hankcooler master 212 evoamd radeon r9270x at factory defaultall the test was in resolution 1920*1080p

Great card: performance and high quality cooling.
This is a great card, for 200 this is a sick deal. I can run BF4 at 1080p, max settings at 50-55 fps stable, the game look great and fluid at the same time. I had a 7770 before this at the dofference is noticeable. Seems not too overclock friendly, but its comes OC from factory which is great and doesnt heat up as crazy, 70 C is the max i get, at the time of this writing is summer and i live in the caribbean (Dominican Republic). For higher resolutions i would recommend somithing more powerful like a 280x or its NVIDIA counterpart cause it wont handle right beyond 1080p.

Got A Bad One.
I have always used and relied on Asus products and their reliability to build my systems or upgrade parts. Over the last year it seems Asus is dropping the ball on Quality Control. I have had 2 motherboards fail in less than 6 months and now this graphics card. The card didn't last 5 minutes when gaming before crashing. Tried different drivers along with the most current and still crashed. Changed video setting from high through low during gaming and it still crashed. PC would freeze giving either a green or brown screen with small white horizontal lines. My first thought was the card was over heating but that was not the case. Card was just bad out of the box. I put my old Asus HD 6850 in and no problems.

Bad luck?
I recently purchased this board as an upgrade to an Asus GeForce 550ti. To preface this review, I built my system a little over a year ago. A short while after I started using the system and gaming, my graphics card failed, I contacted Asus and had to bring my system in to a repair shop to have an analysis made. The board was indeed faulty($50.00) charge. I shipped the board back to Asus and they returned the same board a couple of weeks later, the board worked well for a couple of weeks and then the same problem returned, my system would crash, BSOD, no reboot unless I removed the board. So again I contacted Asus, I was issued an RMA and they shipped a replacement board immediately, which I felt they should have done the first time as the board was under warranty. The board they sent has worked fine.A few months later I decided to upgrade my graphics card, so the tech at my local shop suggested I try AMD R9s for gaming. After researching I settled on trying this unit. The unit worked beautifully for several hours, then the same problem returned, BSOD, then unable to reboot the system until I removed the board. Yes, I was beginning to wonder if there was a problem with my system. For the record, the build consists of Intel i5 3570, 8 gigs of Ram Corsair Vengeance. Asus P8Z77-V LE Motherboard, Ultra 750W PSU, Windows 7. Shouldn't be any compatibitlity issues. Fortunately I purchased the board thru Amazon, as I now do with literally everything. So I simply returned the board and decided to try an EVGA board instead and go back to Nvidia. I purchased the EVGA 760 super clocked and it has operated flawlessly,(so it doesn't appear to be a problem with the system)the graphics are stunning as were Asus, it is a bit louder than the Asus card, but no deal breaker. In summary, I'm not slamming Asus, I have other Asus products in my build and other than having to spend $50.00 for the initial analysis, their support was excellent and maybe I just had bad luck with the 2 graphics card.

Mixed Feelings
Right off the bat, this card is a great card compared to my gtx 650 ti. its tflops are two times what the xbox one has and higher than the ps4. to anyone wanting to play CURRENT GEN games, this is great. if you are looking for a NEXT GEN system, you will have to cough up $300 more bucks for a 280x or stick to the ps4. im not sure if its the devs getting used to programming for next gen or my system is still not enough to meet the "demands" of the next generation. in all, this gpu is a dissapointment to anyone looking to play this years top games such as Battlefield 4 or Assassins Creed IV the very games it has been advertised for. In my benchmarks, BF4 60 fps is impossible at any setting at 1080p. if you look to the sky it goes up to 60 but anywhere else expect a drop to 45-30 fps locked. Same goes for AC4. if you stick to current gen games like skyrim or BF3 this card is for you. if your exited for the next generation, look somewhere else. i left 3 stars because the bad fps might very well not be this cards fault, the issue could be with dev programing or the fact i still run on windows 7.My Specs:CPU: AMD FX-8350RAM:16 GB Corsair VengenceGPU: AMD R9 270X
