Clairol Nice'n Easy Frost & Tip Original Hair Dye, Light Blonde to Medium Brown Hair Color, Pack of 3

Been using this brand for many many years. Always blond. Better than Revlon.

I've been buying this specific highlight color for about five years now, and I remain very happy with the result. First, I appreciate the fact that enough product is supplied that I can squeeze two colorings out of one box, making it very cost-effective. I split the powder and the develping creme in half and save the remaining product for a second application when the roots grow out. Especially important is that, although some hair damage is expected when applying a peroxide solution, this dye hasn't burned my hair. The conditioner provided in the box (which I use after every hairwash) keeps it sufficiently healthy. The box contains everything you need for do-it-yourself highlighting - a pair of plastic gloves, a cap with holes, an applicator, and a plastic sheet to cover your hair while the color is processing.

I use this as often as I need to. The color is great for my highlights and the conditioner which is included is so nice. I keep buying it as needed.. Takes a bit of time to get highlights as you may want so if you have a helper, it is good.

I have used this stuff since 1986, and it is still working great.. I leave this on for 90 minutes, my hair is a level 3 to 4, dark brown. After one hour, I take a blow dryer and put some heat on it while it's under the plastic processing cap. move it the dryer all around head and get it warmed up, it helps it process more quickly. That's why salons put you under hair dryers. If your hair is Dark Brown, do that for like 5 or 10 minutes, in last 30 minutes of processing. If it comes out to bright give it a day or two, and a few washes it will tone down. Try a blue or purple conditioner I have gone to Salon after Salon, spent hundreds of dollars and never get the same results. I am always disappointed, and always so tired, because It takes sometimes, four hours! They also don't do it great the first time, it's so you have to come back sooner. I always ask if they can get the back underneath alot, so when I pull my hair up in ponytail it's not black and 8 out of 10 times, they never get it. They know that's what you want, so they don't do it on purpose. I mean think about it why would you have to come back if they did all underneath. No, they make you suffer so you have to come back again and again and dish out the cash! They want you to become a regular, they are a business they need to suck that cash out of you. You will not get a great foil with the back covered like you want first time around nope! If you do you have hit the jackpot and found an honest salon! I have yet to ever found a single one, it's been over 30yrs! Also, if you have super thick hair expect to pay a lot more it's an excuse to upcharge and they take advantage of any excuse. I was born with thick hair it's out of my control, but so sad to bad, it's going to cost you more money. So, in conclusion, if you have patience you can get this color, you can be a blonde in the comfort of your own home you can. I suggest also a Dark Blonde for your Roots at the top of your head and sides but only if your hair is dark brown also. P.s. Don't take it off to early, wait till it looks like it’s the color of the inside of the banana peel and if your ends are really light, don't put the bleach on ends until the last 30 mins! JUST AN FYI- I have used this product for over 20 years. I ordered Clairol Frost & Tip for light blonde to medium blonde. The box I received says Light blonde to medium blonde, but the picture of the woman on the front is not the same. Also the color result pictures on the back of the box are brown hair. I’m going to try it. The worst that can happen is it won’t lift my hair to the really light blonde streaks I’m used to.

I have been using clairol frost and tip on and off since I was a teen and I love this product. 2 months ago my hair was chocolate brown and my hair is thick and past my shoulder in length, so it takes two boxes to have enough lightener. I did an all over highlight with this stuff in June. I used natural instincts medium ash blonde semi permanent dye to tone it (it was slightly orange before I toned it) then I waited 5 weeks then did another all over highlight with clairol frost and tip. After the second all over highlight I think the result is so pretty and looks a lot like a natural blonde. I didn’t tone with dye after the second highlight, I just shampooed with fanola no orange shampoo and I think it looks great! 5/5 stars!
