Helly Hansen Mandal Waterproof Rain Pants - PVC-Coated Waterproof Overpants - Adjustable Fishing Pants - Work Rain Gear

I bought these Helly-Hansen rain pants for a training event in Tennessee early this November, 2025. I was prepared to use them at the advice of an event instructor to be ready for cold rain and snow in the morning, but warm afternoons as well. These pants fit the bill for that and functioning well as the outer, semi-insulated layer. I wore these Hansen pants over long johns and a regular pair of pants, and they worked well to keep me dry in the rain an snow. I was able to move freely in those elements doing a lot of bending and lifting, as well as hoping in and out of operating vehicles. They were also easily shed for when the weather got warmer. My only learning curve was to get used to having pants on that didn't really have pockets, but other than that, these pants worked well. They didn't run hot when I went indoors out of the cold and rain / snow, and they were light enough that I didn't really noticed I essentially had a second pair of pants on. While I don't believe these are ANSI rated for visibility, I did opt for the bright yellow color to supplement a high visibility safety vest, which I thought couldn't hurt while operating in a heavy machinery area under lower visibility conditions. I did get heavy equipment oil, grease, grime and rubber track stains on my pants, but the majority of it cleans off well, and though I wouldn't do it again, I was able to wash and dry these garments with regular clothes without wearing the garments down. These pants are a little on the high side for price, but I feel they will last long enough to pay for themselves with longevity. I'm a medium size and I feel they fit well, no problem, and are accurate to that size. I hope this review helps and thank you for reading!

High quality rain pants with true sizing.

Last pair of water proof pants tore in the first month. These bad boys are a solid pair of pants. I trudge through small streams and stay warm and dry. Super durable. Just at rinse and wipe clean. Not light weight. Would love the waist to be bit stretchier. I’m a size small and these are a perfect fit. Could possibly go a size up for a baggier over the clothes situation. Very happy, though.

Excellent heavy weight rain pants. I detail heavy duty trucks and equipment for a living and wear these along with the jacket for degreasing jobs, these are truly waterproof and very durable. The only downside is they aren't breathable so you will get hot and sweaty, but that's to be expected with a product like this.

My husband typically wears a size 2X, so we ordered a 4X to give room for clothing underneath. These were significantly too small, he could not even pull them all the way on. The material quality seemed great. If they would have been sized correctly, we would have kept these without a doubt. I would suggest ordering up a few sizes if you want to wear under clothing, it’s a great pant for the price.!

I was wet .... ive worn these 2 times and someone some way i still get wet. They're basically plastic pants...how does the water get through you ask??? i have no idea....but trust me, it gets through. I'm not sure why i'm giving it a 3 star review.... if you're dry it should be a 5 and if you're wet it should give you a 0....but i'll split the difference because it kept me dryer than if i wasn't wearing them at all

This is a high quality rain pant. The material is thick and rugged, but not add hot as you would expect. They do run a tad small, but that isn't necessarily a bad thing, you forget your wearing them.

Purchased for tall slender granddaughter to Mach her rain parka. Fit well, well constructed, fit well, and should last a lifetime. A little stiff at first for sitting but great protection against the elements.
