The build quality is excellent — the casing is durable, heat sinks are well-mounted, and the terminals are clearly labeled and easy to work with. Setup was simple and intuitive. I connected it to my LiFePO₄ bank, and it’s powering LED lights and a small 12V fan without any issues. What I really appreciate is the constant voltage output even with input fluctuations, which makes it ideal for sensitive electronics. I’ve also tested it in a vehicle system and got consistent results there too. If you need a reliable buck converter for a project, camper, off-grid rig, or vehicle mod, this one is definitely worth it. Compact, efficient, and dependable.

These do what they claim, boost 12v to 24v at 50a. Also you CAN use them in parallel for more current. What is TOUGH is supplying them with enough 12v power. I used two in parallel to achieve 100A to an inverter (Why? Just experimenting.) The inverter kept faulting, so I thought these couldn't supply quick surge current... WRONG. The large 12v battery (connected by 1ga wire, powered by a running alternator) voltage would drop. I put a 5 Farad capacitor (input side) to catch drop and now these deliver some insane power and handle >3000w of surge (x2 in parallel). Most of the reviews I'm reading clearly aren't supplying these with enough power. A few notes. In my testing, they stay cool. They don't do any obnoxious beeping. They are pretty expensive but I'm satisfied.

I purchased this to use with a dewalt battery to step down the 20v to 13.8 for running a trolling motor on a small boat. Works fantastic, Holds a solid 13.8 volts even under load. I can run around the water for a few hours on a single charge with these batteries and they weigh so much less than any lead acid car battery. Great little gadget im sure ill find uses for another.

I am using Milwaukee 18M batteries to power a 12V telescope in the middle of nowhere. This device works perfectly to reduce the 18V battery to 13.8V which is perfect for my 12V telescope.

Second time buying one of these. First one was a different brand and it broke and had to send it back. So far so good, this one is working great.

Excellent converter. Wire length is just right for placing connectors on each wire.

Installed 3 weeks ago, running on a 24/7 basis, functioning as expected. Seems to be fine. Relatively inexpensive, so I will order a spare as back up. Running 12Vdc loads on an island cottage, critical component for communications, pumping water, VHF radio etc. Island’S solar system is 48Vdc, so needed a step down transformer for conversion Now running for five years, no problems. Great product.

Pro: works well and does everything i want it to. Con: Even a quick short circuit on it will fry it almost immediately though.

It performed as stated. DC voltage in and a constant 13.8 volts out. nice product for my garden tractor voltage regulator.
