Extremely poor design, poor manufacturing tolerance and poor material
The opportunity to create a useful tool was squandered by poor design, poor manufacturing tolerances and poor quality materials. The two black sockets are not 22mm, they are slightly larger, so they do not sit snugly on the oxygen sensor hex. They are marginally loose, this means that when a turning torque is applied with a wrench the socket applies pressure directly on the corners of the fastener. This is bad enough, but is compounded by the fact that the two black sockets are made from very soft steel. They have no torsional rigidity, which means when the socket is turned on the fastener, the gap in the socket just opens up and the socket rotates round the fastener, rounding off the hex corners as it goes. Not only are both these sockets useless but they also cause expensive damage to the workpiece. I am assuming that the "thread chasers" are also made from the same soft steel and will not cope with heat hardened steel on an exhaust mounted fitment. Moving on to the longer, silver coloured socket. This item is stamped suggesting it is made from Chrome-Vanadium steel, which should have some degree of torsional stiffness. Sadly, this is also poorly designed, it is roughly 15mm shorter than it needs to be to actually reach the hex of the oxygen sensor. The cut down the side of the socket ends before the square drive connector, meaning that the wires stop the socket from moving fully down the sensor. Mind boggling incompetence. None of these tools are fit for purpose, poor design, poor tolerance and poor material.
