I have a few dresses that I love, but are a bit shorter than I'm comfortable wearing without something under them (which, for me, is just above the knee). These shorts are pretty much what I was looking for: the lace is cute enough that I don't mind it showing under my nicer dresses, and thus far they've held up (I never put anything with lace in the dryer).That said, a couple cautions. These run VERY small. I wear a size 4 in jeans, I ordered a medium, and I had to send it back for a large, which fit much more comfortably. Also, if you have much belly fat (I don't really have that problem now, but before losing weight I fought the muffin top battle on a daily basis), I would suspect that the thin, tight band at the waist might create an uncomfortable bulge.

The main material of these shorts is fine; you definitely can't see through them. I wear them under my shorter dresses and a couple of pairs of my short shorts to avoid exposing more flesh than I want to.The only issue I have with them is the lace trim does not stretch and the shorts are a bit long under a few garments so I pull them up and the lace is quite tight on the upper part of my inner thigh.

I’m usually a small in biker shorts and leggings but these fit like an xs or xxs. I barely got them up and they sit really weirdly low on the hips. I’m used to more of a mid rise for theses pants to look cute with cropped hoodies and things of that nature. Plus they had only a tiny amount of stretch to them, where I’m used to biker shorts being super soft, stretchy, and comfortable. Ordinarily I might reorder in a bigger size, but the cut and the material were just odd.

These shorts are simple and seem to be well constructed. They are mostly cotton, and the fit seems to be accurately described. I got a M and I usually wear a size 6 jeans. They are snug, but not binding. I probably also could have worn a large, but the medium works. I was also pleased to find that the tag does not itch, which is often a problem with leggings. These will go nicely under a mini-skirt, or anytime you want the extra security and comfort of shorts under a casual dress.

These are exactly as they appear with white with lace and very thin. That was expected. What I didn't expect was the lace not stretching on the thigh. So whatever diameter is sewn is how they will fit. Either A too large or B too small. No stretch lace. Also, once on, they have a tendency to look like the bottom of a girdle. But they look like that in the picture too. So they are fine for the price and exactly as pictured.

I was a little concerned about the fit because of some of the reviews but I needed a pair of shorts that was a little longer than what I already had, and the lace bottom was an awesome bonus. I wear shorts under skirts/dresses. The first time I put them one, I thought they were a little 'fitted' around my thighs but I continued to pull them up like you would with pantyhose and I had no problems what so ever. Once I got them on, they did not feel as 'fitted' and were rather comfortable. I would definitely get another pair. I do believe the sizing given in the description is accurate.

Nice fit and they seem well made. I was looking for some a little shorter to wear under those super distressed shorts. Thes are great under dresses when you a a little concerned about reaching, bending or a burst of wind.

These are really comfy & fit wonderfully, but I did expect them to be longer & be a little thicker. The material is quite thin, and I'm afraid that it might stretch and become more transparent if I were sitting/squatting. I've been wearing them under dresses mostly, I'm not very athletic, and these shorts are really pretty under a short skirt or dress, or even on their own. I think that the sizing is correct, but you should expect them to be a little shorter than what's in the picture.

Just a tiny bit tight, these fit more or less as expected. Unlike shorter length under dress shorts these do not ride up when walking so they are a bit nicer to wear if you expect to do a lot of walking in your dress.

I ordered a large, and they are more of a medium.
