Quite possibly the best kitchen item I own!! Really easy to use, bit if oil in the bottom, sautés the vegetables perfectly and without the need to use another pan, then put some hot stock in, herbs and spices and put the lid on...20 min later lovely hot soup with all good stuff in it and no crap that’s out in tinned soup to keep it stable on a shelf for months. We make a soup nearly every day, have a bowl for dinner each and freeze a portion for another day when only one of us wants a soup so it makes quite a lot for a compact size. Easy to clean, easy to store and takes up little space when in use...what’s not to love?

I had a very large soup maker but it had a glass jar on it and was very heavy to lift and use. As I have arthritis I found it more and more difficult so I passed it onto a friend who was fine with it and I ordered this one instead. I live on my own and this is the perfect size and makes 2-3 portions of a soup which is all I need. easy to use - gives you a choice of chunky or smooth soup. Also blends and there is a cleaning mode as well. It is small enough to slip into a cupboard and overall I am very pleased with it

Quiet, quick and makes good quality soup. Has lasted for years

Took me a lot of research, I wanted just a basic item as I have mobility and dexterity issues so I could make something for myself that was quick, easy and healthy.. I have used it around 8 times now and Im not sure if there is a fault as yesterday it started to cut out every few minutes, however it did finish and make the soup after i kept resetting it so time will tell. Pros Nice and compact soup maker doesn't take up much room Easy to use with 4 different modes Enough soup for 2 people or 2 meals Thermal cut out to stop overheating Cons Plug which is very very short you need to place the maker right by a socket Cant store the plug on board The cleaning function doesn't fully clean the maker The lid is a little heavy and you cannot remove the blade if you want to clean by hand You have to cover the electrics and be careful if you want to clean the base jug out by hand You need something to place the lid and blending part onto once soup is ready as there is no stand You cannot put on the wash function until the unit has fully gone cold. Would I buy another.. Well I purchased this same one for a family member who normally makes by hand but I wanted to try and make her life a little easier so I would say yes but I think now I would buy one that offered a stand for the lid or other upgrades :)

Don’t be shy to try different soup recipes - mix and match veg, boiled lentils, even fruit! Sauté onion, ginger, garlic and tomato as a base for soups and then add the rest of ingredients. Keep warm function really keeps your soup warm, and the taste/flavour is good. What more can you ask when you get a yummy soup in 19 minutes! Really helps with not wasting some of the veg and fruit not getting used. Have added apples and grapes to some soups along with veg like spinach, carrots etc. If you are planning to use beans and lentils, then make sure to boil them before. Both options, smooth and chunky are great. Also, to add some extra flavour, include some fresh herbs or dried ones - I have used Italian herb mix and really adds to the flavour.

I have been singing the praises of this since I first opened the package. The ability to choose between smooth or chunky soup is wonderful, as is the quick self-clean. The sautés option is excellent for browning bacon and garlic before making the soup and I also appreciate the fact that the soup keeps hot and stirred for 30 minutes after finishing. The fact that smooth soup can be produced within 19 minutes of starting is amazing and each day I've been trying and making up different recipes. Everyone should own one of these!

So happy with this purchase. I wasn't sure about the added value as you could just do it the old way with a pan and a blender. Omg this changed my means! Just 20 mins and delicious soup ready to consume, perfect for the winter. This is also perfect size for 2, Just as big as a kettle. Really easy to clean.

Soup making is not difficult, but it has become extremely easy with the soup maker. It is really worth paying a little extra for this one with the sauté function as it cuts down on washing up. It’s also lightweight as it’s a smaller version (2 bowls). Then when you’ve enjoyed your soup it is extremely easy to clean. Brilliant!
