Red Eyed Shad Fishing Lure

I love the natural bream color of this rattle trap because it's so realistic and has caught me a few nice large mouth bass already and even a turtle tried getting it. I'm eager to try it in saltwater at the Skyway pier because I think they resemble greenbacks pretty good too so I think I could probably catch some mackerel, snapper and grouper on them instead of having to cast net live bait, especially if I put a little menhaden fish oil on it for scent. All in all I love this rattle trap and bought the 3/4oz version for saltwater fishing that I hope to do again soon.

I have caught more bass with this lure than any other this summer. The size of the bass has been larger too. I ended up buying one more for my son and an extra for me.

Works as designed catches fish

I've been seeing many youtubers use the Red Eye Shad lipless crankbait, particularly RealisticFishing. I've been dying to try this lure, but it's always sold out when I try to find it in stores! Got the lure on time and got to fish with it today. 3rd cast and I caught a decent 2 1/2-3lb largemouth bass! Had several strikes after that, so it definitely gets em fired up.

This is one of the few hard baits I but a lot of. tight wobble, good vibrations, long castability, and many colors. Buy more at once (you'll need them when you lose them) and they will package them together so you save on shipping.

Well it's pretty, and it looks exactly the same as pictured (although it has more shimmery features that cannot really be captured by a camera but are good for catching reflections from the sun in the water). As for how it does in the water, I can't say if it's a surefire way to catch freshwater fish. I have had mixed success, and really it just depends on the bodies of water where I'm going more-so than the lure. In the meantime, it's cool looking, but you will be kind of using twice the bait as opposed to using a regular hook. Just something to keep in mind.
