Had grass growing in less than 3 weeks

Good germination rate for this seed. For the money, a great cool-season KBG product. (Also, look into "pre-germinating" some of your seed in a mesh sack, soaked in a bucket). I tried this and it worked great (I then mixed the germinated seeds with sand for dispersing in desired areas of lawn). Lots of info. on "pre-germinating" techique on YouTube /Online. Great seed, very happy! Love the color & durability once grass has become established! :)

This gras has a decent germination rate even if you don't follow the proper procedure of mixing/covering with soil, and regular watering. Lots of seeds. Not pencoater seed is of course a plus because you gen more seed in the bag. I noticed ~5% of seed husk, so cleani g off the seeds coukd have been done somewhat bettter. You can just sprinkle this seed over the existing lawn to overseed or over semi-barren spots to repair the lawn. In my case the germination was good even in completely barren clay soil with no fertilizer added whatsoever. Slightly more expensive than I'd be comfortable paying for next time, so ill be bargain shopping next time I need grass, or until the seller drops the price at least10%.

I’ve used half of this bag on a total of 50sq feet and 2 months later there is literally 3 small tuffs of grass. I finally gave up and threw a handful of turf builder seed and the area is covered in grass in 10 days. I literally spread this 4 times and even bought fertilizer for this and it couldn’t grow grass. I watered the dirt every day and nothing grew. This was a huge waste if time and money

This grass looks great. Takes a little while to grow but that's why I went with a slow growing grass. Needs lots and lots of water to germinate but when it does it is so nice and green. Spray it with Tenacity to keep weeds away and doesn't kill this new grass. See a bunch of bad reviews but I'm thinking they didn't water enough.

shipping was on time. Quality was as expected. I have a few trouble spots in my lawn. This was just the right amount to help with those spots. I even had extra left over. So I will save that for future spots. My advice is to make sure you cover it with something. Otherwise the birds will be loving your lawn and all the food you just spread across your lawn. haha. I use a grass seed mat. Lay your seed then place the mat on top. Make sure you keep it wet. I watered 2xs day. Once in the early morning and again in the evening. On really hot days I would got out and water again. This helped germatate things faster. Over all I would recommend.

Let me start by saying that Scott's Turf Builder has more additives than actual grass seed. You'll find none of that nonsense here. I heavily seeded multiple large patches, 20x20, and they ALL grew in with nice, lush grass. To be clear, your success will severely diminish if you just throw the seed on the surface of the ground. Use an aerator, the pole with the spinning wheel of spikes on it, to loosen the dirt, spread the seed, then aerate again to get the seed below the surface. This also keeps the birds from eating it and seeds don't need sunlight. I kept the ground moist the majority of the time, especially in the seed phase. Being I didn't have a sprinkler, I watered the areas 3-4 times per day. Almost to the point of saturation. Using this method, I now have growth I couldn't have expected. There's no weeds in it, it grew in beautifully, and best of all... You're getting ALL grass seed with no additional additives taking away from the amount of seed you get. And when the grass started to grow, I added Lawn Food made by the same company. In less than 1 month, those patches are indistinguishable from the existing grass. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

Grass seed cannot grow at all. After i reviewed the some posts on this product which said it can grow very well. and then i tried it again carefully based on instruction. but finally it still cannot grow at all. It is very strange. i believe these seed cannot group at all. It is not expensive for 3 lb seed, and i do not need to return it. but it really waste time! the seed need to take a long time to grow up. some of them are dead. I changed my above review. and give 3 stars
