First off, if you can't figure out how to uncap and load a scent can into a dispenser, and test it (press a "test" button) - if you can't read directions or figure that much out - *any* kind of automatic air fresher is probably beyond you - this can't be simpler to use. Plus, don't put it on a toilet tank, so it wakes you up by spritzing your bare back at 6am in the morning! Mount it on the wall, high above area so the scent can disperse into the area & make the whole bathroom smell nice.Yes, it works fine in a residential bathroom, but, be sure to get an assortment of scents from "Time Mist", "Zep", "Rubbermaid", etc. they fit just fine, but.. some people have trouble sliding the actual lip of the can into the unit, or pull it out without spraying themselves. HINT: Turn off the sprayer, before you try to load it... might be a no-brainer to most of us, but not for some (they could reading a warning anyway). These things a all pretty much "universal" in the spray cans which fit it.PROs... Set the frequency of spray, AND whether you want it going 24hrs, just when there's light, or only at night. BIG plus, I only want it when it "sees" a bathroom light ON, and then about every 1/2hr - which it does PERFECTLY. (that's the DAY setting, BTW...)Takes all the commercial cans, which are *cheapest* and last the longest - I can find them anywhere.Easy to mount, *solidly* to the wall, like in a dark area, so it only spritzes when the light is on.No outlet needed - just 2 AA size batteries, and it'll probably last a year or more (Alkaline).Plastic - no worries about bathroom "wetness" ... 120vac plugs getting corroded, internal parts rusting, it's clean, neat & easily blends into the background.My bathroom... smells like it's "clean" ... even after I make it smell very, very bad - hard to tell I was even there.If you're on Chemo, or something that makes your BO STINK - one of these in your bathroom - huge relief!Steady scent, from start till the can is empty.Don't like a scent, pop the can out, and try another one, save it for another day, season, just rotate them, Flowers for spring, pine for Christmas, fruity for summer, etc.CONs... Too simple for people who can't read directions, or think jars with pull up wicks, peel off backs and plug into outlets are the only way to go.Sliding the *lip* of the spray can into the holder, so it *will* spray might be too difficult for some, just like getting the spray tip facing outward.A word about Scents: Some are *really* great, some are OK, and ... wow, some are like a slap-in-the-face! That's not the dispenser, it's the can-of-scent you load into it, and there's a great variety of them. We got some "Campfire" "woodland" scent.... sounded good, but, it's really, really strong, makes my eyes water. Switched it to some "prissy, powder puff, laundry" scent ... actually smells pretty darn good! Tried some of those "fruity fresh flowery" scents, meh, it smells good in the office, but... well, it's OK.We have 2 of them, one in each bathroom, getting 2 more for the closets - and with a little "Cedar" scent... perfect.

Always looked for something that worked better than the manufacturers dispenser. So far this is it. It holds the Glade Air Fresheners better than the Air Wick ones but both work.

I love this air freshener! 1st let me say that many comments have said they had to put a piece of wood under the glade product so that it can reach. Well, after many tries with different pieces of wood, nothing worked. Until I realized u do not need anything to make it reach. Under the thing that makes it spray there are 2 metal pieces on each side. Just slide in the glade round metal area through it. Perfect! Took me 2 weeks to figure this out. Hope it helps.

I've used various air freshener dispensers from Air Wick, Glad, Lysol, and none are as powerful as this SVAVO unit or as well made. This unit fits any canister of air fresheners and has 3 settings for timing and can be set to work day, night or 24/7 with the light sensor built in. This unit works with 2 AA batteries, wish it took C or D for longer life, but works well with the AA's just the same. I was at first leery of the price but if you buy one of the more well known brands units for around $20 dollars, and they half the time don't work, you find this SVAVO is well worth the investment in not having to replace and having a better built unit to last. Highly recommend this unit to anyone wanting a quality fragrance aerosol sprayer dispenser.

As others have pointed out there is no base so stop trying to make the can sit on something. There is a metal neck the can slides into. Once you figure that part out, every can will work and presses the dispenser down like it should. Very configurable and more durable longer lasting than the ones you buy in the store

When it dispenses, all you hear is the spray and not all of the typical grinding, loud noises that usually emanate from the junk dispensers that are provided with the spray cans.It uses two AA batteries. There are just a couple of switches to set. It can spray 24 hrs, or day only, or night only. The spray intervals are 5, 15, and 25 minutes. Simple.

Overall, the features on this are pretty awesome, but more than I was looking for. It worked fine for a couple of months, but finally it started only letting the liquid ooze out instead of spray out, so i had a wet mess. There are some definite pros to this device. From an engineering perspective, it could be designed better. 1) The batteries are not easy to get in. The plastic compartment has close to sharp edges and it should be much easier to get batteries in and out. I've used others that are much easier. 2) It is a real challenge getting the cans in there. You actually have to press down the hammer before you insert and it is not easy because the hammer has to be facing toward you when you mount it in the compartment. Anyway, after three months I threw it in the trash.

You will enjoy this product.Firstly, it looks beautiful, neat and impressive.Second, it functions well. I am using it for the shoes and coats area where it's usually smelly.Now, it's a pleasure to pass through there.

I bought this dispenser for those Air Wick canisters. Air Wick brand of dispensers does not work very well and is also not attractive too. Getting the canister into this dispenser is a little tight, but overall, it's worth the purchase.

this product is better than the last one I got. it is very easy to program, and very quiet too I would recommend it to all. As a matter of fact I told my apt. manager about it and he say how well it worked and is going to invest in one when his dies.
