Great product
Perfectly solved my problem of using 2" bike racks with my 2.5" receiver. The 0.68" pin hole fits snugly—no wobbling at all. Heavy-duty aluminum feels solid, and the matte black finish looks sleek while resisting scratches. Love the groove design—makes insertion/removal effortless, even for smaller hands! Handles my cargo carrier and bikes with ease . Super affordable for such quality—a must-have for any truck/SUV owner!

Quality
This is a quality hitch adapter I installed it on my 2016 Ram 2500. It’s built from aluminum so time will tell on the durability with the abuse from towing a trailer. Well designed and I will write a follow up review after I tow with it. The only dislike as with all hitch adapters is they never fit snug in the receiver. Also wish the lip around the adapter was closer to the hitch.

Heavy duty Looking
It is heavy duty looking and tight fit on the 2 !/2 inch but it is kind on lose on the 2 inch insert part

How to put a 1-1/4 bike rack in a 2" hitch receiver
This is a dead simple device that does one job, but does it very well. It adapts a 2" receiver for use with 1-1/4" racks. It does it without sticking out much further from the back of the receiver, reducing the leverage the rack has on the receiver. This was important to me as my aftermarket receiver on my Tesla Model 3 is only rated at a few hundred lbs of "tongue weight". I carried a relatively heavy bike rack with two electric bikes for hundreds of miles with no issues of any kind. The rack and the bikes were stable, not rotating or bouncing in the receiver. The whole setup was quiet even on bumpy roads. This adapter was exactly what I needed to make our E-bike vacation a success.

too tight
this 2-1/2 to 2" sleeve, although a good design, is now a permanent fixture to my truck. this is both good and bad. the bad is such that you have to hammer it into place, had i known this i might have sent it back--too late now.. the good part is that its soo tight, it cant come out and therefore reinforced 2" receiver. if you need a more removable one, i suggest the 2" sleeve that fits internally.. OD should be 1.85 but quite 2 as you will get moisture, dirt, etc in there that places havoc. i DO understand they have a "version 2" model, i guess they learned their lesson from all the returns.. might give that a try. i really do like the expanded head sleeve that fits over the 2-1/2 pattern so it doesnt slide back.

poor fit of insert in receiver and alignment of holes is off. Update: broke on first tow
Don't expect this insert to fit. You can fix it, but don't try to hit it to make it fit you will just wedge it in the receiver. You will need to grind the ridged sides 1/32" and mill the bottom of the pin holes 1/16". You can't fix the pin hole location as it is 3/4" too far back but it works. UPDATE: two corners fractured longwise down the length. I'm towing a 6400lb RV. No longer safe to use, I got one tow out of it. Tossing it into the aluminum scrap barrel.

Had to modify it a bit, but it works
The part as delivered did not sit flush on the back of my receiver on a 2022 RAM 2500. The flange sat half an inch or so away from the face of the receiver. This means that the hitch cover I usually have on the truck would not go back far enough into the hitch for the holes to line up. Most hitches with longer posts will probably not have this issue. I simply modified the part by chucking it into my mill and lengthening the hole. The part is made of aluminum, so it was easy to mill. I really wish I hadn't lost the adapter that came with the truck. It fit perfectly, but, alas, it lives somewhere out on my buddy's ranch where it fell off the back of the truck.
