Light Medium Brown works for me
Depending on how often you shower. If you shower daily, the color will fade quicker, If you have chlorinated water and shower daily the color will not last 8 weeks. I shower at minimum every other day, and with daily showers The color seems to last about 6 to 7 weeks, and then begins fading quickly back to gray. But prior to 6 weeks of time the color looks natural. I'm very pleased with my outcome. I was concerned about the color being too dark after the 10 minute timer. The dye combs in very dark. But once my hair was rinsed out and dry the color was fine. 👨💼

Stuff works, foolproof & easy
I use this primarily to touch up sides that grey sooner than when I go back for a haircut and color. Most of my grey is at my sides and even professional colors don't seem to get it completely all the time (color resistant). So this is a nice product to touch up and refresh in between my every 5 week appointments. I find it blends in. Beyond being careful to wipe off any on your skin or being careful to not get on things that might stain, you can't mess this up. I've forgotten about it and left on my hair for a couple hours once. It was crunchy dry. I rinsed it off, hair was a little soft, but it was good to go. It really is "auto stop". The biggest criticism I have with these men's products is that they are nowhere near as color specific as women get. I have ash brown hair with no red color in it, so some of these products are the right darkness but don't blend in well because they make them more generic brown. I've experimented a shade lighter and a shade darker to compare results. The great thing about the comb-through product is that you don't have to commit. You can color a small area discretely and see how you like it before you do a full application. The stuff lasts at least a few weeks before it starts fading. Different people's hair has different ability to take color, sometimes I need two applications to get it where I want. Your mileage may vary. It's best to use after you've washed your hair, with no conditioner. Dry it, though it can still be a little damp, and then apply. The next best time to apply, and most convenient, would be 10-15 min before you shower/wash your hair. To wash out the dye, I do a double wash with color safe shampoo and some conditioner, which supposedly helps seal it. HOW TO GET MULTIPLE APPLICATIONS FROM A TUBE You do not need to waste a whole tube on one go as the packaging indicates. The important thing to know is the chemicals in the dye react with O2 in the air in order to set the color. So IMMEDIATELY after you finish your application, squeeze the tube a little sideways (like you do with toothpaste) to try to draw the dye in the comb back into the tube to save some of that (don't obsess, you'll lose some), then unscrew the comb, and then gently squeeze the tube until the dye comes to the very top and put the lid on snuggly. Generally you want to get the air out of the tube. Air in the tube will oxidize and "use up" the dye. You'll know if you did this right because the next time you use it, the dye should be light brown in color (like it is when the tube is new). If it's dark brown/black, it's been oxidized and won't do anything (not harmful to your hair but it will fail to color it). Sometimes the dye at the very top of the tube gets oxidized, so squeeze a little out before you give up on a tube. Doing this, I get 5-7 applications from a tube, doing my sides. If I was doing my whole head, I'd probably get 2-3 applications out of each tube. Make sure to clean the comb immediately after this. Rinse the comb under warm/hot water, from both ends, to get ALL of the dye out. Don't stop until water flows freely through all comb holes and no colored water comes through. The holes are small, if you don't do this, it will dry and clog and your next application with not go well if at all. The dye cleans up from skin and most places well with rag or paper towels, especially if you get to it fresh.

Quick gray touch-up that actually fits in a coffee break
No mixing. Ready straight from the box. Ten minutes and done. Comb tip gets to the roots. Gloves help finish the blend. Rinse and you see the change right away. It looks too dark while it sits. Don’t panic. After rinsing it settles back to your shade. Drips on skin wipe off with soap and water if you do it promptly. Kit includes what you need. Coverage is even, cleanup is easy, timing is short. Perfect for salt and pepper fixes without the whole bathroom chemistry set.

Six Of One, A Half Dozen Of Another
This is premixed hair color thickened and squeezed from a tube onto a small applicator comb. You stroke the comb through your hair hitting only the sections you want to color. It's especially good at the hairline. It's easy and simple to use, but will still take a time or two before you perfect it as you want it. I suggest taking your time first use. It won't be perfect. This is not mess free stuff. Gloves are still required, as is protection for any clothing worn and counter tops and sinks. I really don't understand the problem with mixing dye in a bottle and applying it with the fingers. I never made a mess? Oh well.... The problem I have with this product is the same I have with all hair color products. And that is I have tough grey and it usually takes two applications to achieve full coverage. I followed directions for this product to a tee. I was happy with the execution of the product overall. The applicator worked ok, and it seemed I was getting a real good coloring only where I wanted it, and not where I didn't. I have a lot of grey, though. So at least half my head was saturated with dark brown hair dye. I waited ten or twelve minutes, rinsed throughout, checked the mirror, and saw grey. Same as always. So I took the tube and squeezed more hair color onto the gloves and proceeded to color my hair the old fashioned way. With my fingers and a pair of cheap plastic gloves, full coverage. Ten minutes later I had perfectly dyed hair, all grey covered. To its credit I have dark brown hair and the premixed dye matches it better then any other hair color I have used. It looks acceptably natural imo, and gives a good coloring job. If sold simply as premixed hair color in a tube I would buy it for that reason alone. But this "AutoStop" thing is just sort of a gimmick. It works fine, but if it doesn't cover grey the first time around, what is the use? It's tedious to have to "combed it in" again if it didn't provide complete cover the first time. I like this as regular hair dye and that's how I will buy it. I like the coloring itself and the thickened, premixed tube dye. When using again however, the first thing I won't do is apply as directed.

Works great for eyebrows
I’m a woman and I was buying eyebrow dye in a tiny tube for more $$ and it didn’t work for more than a week. This works right out of the tube/bottle, is a more effective dye and works longer. Plus, I’ve got enough more months and months of applications.

Hair and Beard still solid gray after following directions
Well, where do I start with the Just For Men Easy Comb-In Color? If you're expecting it to cover up your gray hair, you might as well invest in a magic wand because this product is about as effective as whispering spells to your strands. I used it hoping for a follicular miracle, but all I got was a half-hearted attempt at camouflage. The gray coverage is like playing hide-and-seek with a toddler – you know it's there, but it's not putting much effort into staying hidden. I ended up with patches of gray that looked like they were on a rebellious protest against conformity. Just For Men, you had one job – and apparently, that job was to let my gray hair party in plain sight. The comb-in application is a comedy of errors. It's like trying to paint a masterpiece with a broomstick – good luck achieving precision. I combed, I waited, I hoped for a transformation, and what did I get? A hair color that seems to have missed the memo on covering up grays. It's like my grays are waving at me, saying, "Thanks for the attempt, but we're still here, and we're not going anywhere." The scent is another delightful aspect. It's like the fragrance engineers thought, "How can we make this experience worse?" The answer: create an aroma that's a cross between a chemical spill and regret. Nothing says "I tried to cover my grays" like a lingering scent that screams "industrial accident." In conclusion, if you're hoping for Just For Men Easy Comb-In Color to work some magic on your grays, prepare for disappointment. It's like trying to stop a leak with a colander – ineffective and messy. Save your time, money, and olfactory senses by embracing the silver fox within. Just For Men, you've managed to make gray hair trendy because, thanks to you, I'm proudly flaunting my rebellious streak.
