England's finest
When you switch your morning caffeine choice late in life, be sure to try Twinings teas. All their basics are rich tasting, full bodied and worthwhile. Can't beat this one. Good value as well loose in these tins, rather than as tea bags (also available).

Loose Tea That Will Make You Say "Earl Yeah!"
I recently tried the Twinings Earl Grey Loose Tea and I'm in love! This tea is the perfect way to start my mornings or unwind after a long day. The aroma of the bergamot oil is simply heavenly and the taste is smooth and satisfying. I love the convenience of the loose tea as it allows me to control the strength of the tea to my liking. The 7.05 oz tins are also great value for money and will last me a long time. I enjoy drinking my Earl Grey tea with a splash of milk and a drizzle of honey, it's the perfect pick-me-up! If you're an Earl Grey fan, this tea is a must-try! Plus, every time I brew a cup I can't help but say "Earl Yeah!" in my head. It's just that good!

Very nice Earl Grey tea
If I'm making tea at home, I much prefer using loose leaf tea to tea bags. Tea bags are fine at the office where I'm forced to brew it right in the mug, but at home I have tea pots, a large one if I have guests and a small one that makes two mugs' worth for myself. I have to say that my preferred brand for loose Earl Grey tea is Taylor's of Harrogate, which gets an A+ from me. That said, Twinings is easier to find, a little more affordable, and gets an A-. A minus is a perfectly good rating. I've taken to brewing it with my smaller teapot by putting a Melitta No. 2 filter cone on top with a No. 2 paper filter in it and pouring the boiling water through it and this tea works just fine that way. I get perfectly clear tea with no need to pour it through a strainer. But I've also brewed it using my teapot's stainless steel mesh infuser -- some "fines" do get through and pouring it through a fine-mesh strainer helps, and that method makes very nice tea, too. Either way, it's better than teabags. The tin it comes in is very nice -- it's airtight to keep the tea fresh and flavorful, and the lid is easily removable with just one's fingers -- no need to pry it open with a spoon handle. At any rate, I think this is very good Earl Grey tea. I note that many, many years ago, I tried Earl Grey tea for the first time -- probably 1977, when I bought a package of 10 Twining's tea bags at the supermarket and I became an immediate fan of Earl Grey tea as a result. I bought the tea bags for making tea at the office and was delighted to discover Twining's offered loose tea for making tea at home on a pot. I'd give this 4-1/2 stars if I could, reserving 5 stars for the Taylor's of Harrogate tea. 4-1/2 stars for a cheaper price, easier to find, is a good thing, actually. By the way, half the joy of making Earl Grey tea is smelling the tea in the tin -- the aroma that comes from the oil of bergamot flavoring the black tea is absolutely enticing.
