Best selling entry level figure skate. The tricot lined figure skate is comfortable, fits well and has an easy care durable PVC boot. The skate features multi layered ankle support, hollow ground, nickel plated steel blade, full quarter padding for comfort and a form fitting padded tongue. A great entry level, pond or rink skate.

great deal
Been using these skates for four winters now and they're still in great condition! Durable, comfortable. Perfect for beginner to medium level skaters. Easy maintenance. Make sure you take care of the blade when you're not using the skates. Cover the blade in oil for winters, to preserve the metal. I didn't do that for my first summer after getting the skates, so the blades rusted and I had to sharpen them at a skating rink for $20 (which is half the price of the skates, so a huge waste of money). If you take care of the blades, always wipe them clean after using, store in good conditions, and preserve them in oil for the winter, you'll be very happy with the purchase. Do recommend!

Poorly made
I ordered these on Feb. 20th. I am a recreational skater, skating 2x's per month. As of June 18th, which is almost 4 months since the date I ordered these skates, the boot has detached itself from the heel. I would not recommend these skates.

Excellent skate for the beginner!
So far so good. I was hesitant with these as I read some horror stories about huge sizes, receiving used skates, tongues tearing out. They seem perfect for the price for me.I wear a size 8 shoe and ordered size 8 skate. With some thick winter socks these fit perfect! Laces are a little long, but you can always wrap around if needed. I also purchased a better blade guard as the ones that come with the skates are very cheap protection. Can't wait to get out on the ice with them! I will update if they do not perform well.

and really didn't look like they went with the skates
Something just didn't look right with the skates, the blades looked a little different than the picture in the listing, and really didn't look like they went with the skates. They seemed too short, like they were for a smaller size skate. Also, one of the front blade plates did not fit flush against the boot at the front near the toe, and there was a gap. The blade plates were not positioned in the same spot on each sole either. They seemed to be put together in the factory in a sloppy, non-precise manner. I don't know if either of these issues could cause any performance problems but I just didn't feel secure and safe using them.

Great skates at a great price
These skates are an amazing value. I haven't skated in decades and wanted something just in case our pond froze well enough for skating. It did and I had a great time learning to skate again. The skates fit very well -- I wear a size 8 to 81/2 shoe and got the size 8 skates. I wore a pair of thin socks and a pair of very thick socks. The skates were snug but did not pinch at all. I do not remember ever skating and not having my feet hurt but I skated for about an hour and my feet did not hurt and were not cold (28 degrees fahrenheit). They were nicely sharpened and worked well. Of course they are not made for heavy use at this price but they are actually reasonably solid. The guards that come with them are extremely flimsy so if guards are important to you, order some separately.

Great for beginner skates.
I bought these for me because my niece decided she wanted to go ice skating for her birthday. But at our local skating rink, their skates are very narrow for my wide feet. It was sad to know that no matter how pairs of the rental skates I tried on, they were either too small, too tight, or too big. So I decided to buy these skates and they are perfect for my feet. They say that skates are to fit you like a glove and this one totally fits my feet like a glove. The padding on the inside is kind of thin, but I think if you wear high socks it helps with the pressure. I was actually able to last in them for quite some time. The skates themselves could have used a little sharping in MY OPINION which I could have done at the skating rink but by the time I thought about it, we were already leaving. lol but all in all these are very good skates for beginners like it states in the descriptions.

WAY better than rental skates!
These skates are great for the price! I wear a size 9-9.5 shoe and ordered a size 9. These skates fit fine with tights, didn't try with stockings. I'm a beginner ice skater and these were excellent for me. They are fairly stiff in the ankle - but in a good way - you don't want to roll your ankle. One of the biggest problems that I remember with having rental skates in the past is that my feet turned inward, in these skates my feet were straight and in the right position (i.e., skating directly on the blade, instead of the side). Can't say whether that was due to the skates or my technique, but these were FAR better than any rental skates I've used. They're pretty comfy, I may add an insole for extra comfort. All in all these are excellent skates.I took them to a skate shop and had them sharpened before I skated with them (about thirty bucks, but it was a pro shop and it seemed like they did a good job and it was worth the money!). Not sure if that was necessary, but a friend who is a serious skater said that you should always get your skates sharpened if they're brand new. (The guy at the skate shop said so, too.)Remember to buy skate guards and to completely dry off your blades!

Really great ice skates for the price!
Really awesome ice skates for a beginner! They are very true to size. I wear size 7 boots - like UGGS - and these fit perfectly. I am still breaking them in and I believe I need to wear thick socks until they are wore in enough. I am also going to invest in a nice pair of blade covers so I can wear them around the house when I am not skating so they don't feel weird when I'm on the ice.

Girlfriend loves them!
My girlfriend always borrows or rents skates every winter that we've known each other. We're not professional skaters, but love a casual skate every once in awhile. After some research, I found this pair of skates at a decent price. Got them sharpened at a local store, wrapped it up, and placed it under the Christmas tree. She probably racked up 30 hours in these skates and they held up fine. Thankfully, sizing was true and there has been no complaints regarding comfort. I will update this review next season!

Decent skates for beginners
Good shoes for beginners. The size is almost a fit to your actual foot size. I wear an 8.5 so ordered these skates in 8 and they fit just fine. You’ll need to get them sharpened before use. Overall a decent skating shoe.

nice skates
Good quality for the money would recommend something better quality if your doing a lot of skating but good enough for just getting on the ice for a bit

Made Cheap
These started coming apart not long after using them. They are bad quality

They're not the best I've used
They do the job. They're not the best I've used, they're not the worst. They could definitely have a little more ankle support. I find my feet are very, very sore after using these and my ankles are on fire.
