I hate poor quality grease guns
I hate poor quality grease guns. This one seems nice and has worked great so far. It even looks nice. I like that it came with a hose and a hard line. I had no issue getting it primed the first use. It has a nice adjustable coupler. I had no issues getting the coupler off zerk fittings (did not adjust from stock). There is a technique, tilt to the side and spin a bit, comes right off.

Finally - A Quslity Grease Gun
Finally, I bought a grease gun with some quality and durability. This works great. I also bought a Lock n Lube grease fitting which allows you to simply snap the grease coupler over the fitting and it locks in place until you unlock - by far one of the best grease gun accessories in past 100 years.

Good but not perfect.
1. The instructions are useless. One needs a microscope to read them. Not meant for aging eyes. 2. Web site says use videos but there are no videos on website or links. 3. Does come with some wrenches and teflon tape, a good thing. Quality of wrenches is bare bones but at least they are there. 4. Says to lube plunger on first use by taking off bottom. I did and it appeared to have sufficient lube so ???. 5. I had great difficulty bleeding my first tube of grease. I didn't have the plunger in by about 1/2" which may have been why but once in all the way I was able to bleed it. 6. Instruction could have gone into detail about bleeder button on top and bulk fill but no real mention of how to use it. What does it take to get good instructions? Besides a microscope to read them.7. My cheap Harbor Freight units are not as sophisticated but work as well. 7:Some of the grease I use cost about 1/2 the price of the gun so you really don't want to waste it.When I couldn't bleed the unit I though I was going to waste a tube. Make sure you have the plunger all the way in even that last 1/4" and store grease upright, metal tab down. Grease gun should be stored horizontal.

Gun works great and is super light.
I am a professional heavy truck technician. This gun does what it is supposed to do, and has lived on the side of my tool box for almost a year now. I would recommend replacing the hose with a longer one. 12" is just not long enough. I have a 24" hose on my gun now that I ordered from Amazon. The longer hose just makes it easier to use, and to get into hard to reach places that a 12" hose won't reach. It creates really good pressure for those times when the fitting is having trouble taking grease. I also replaced the fill port with an actual grease fitting so I could fill it from the shop system. No complaints and I have recommended it to the younger guys in the shop. Lucas should be proud to have their name on this product.

Good grease gun
Worked perfectly on first several uses. Seems high quality and was easy to put together. Better built & more solid feeling than the cheaper ones from Harbor Freight and similar. Use common sense and hopefully it will last forever. Will update if it becomes unreliable

Goos as we had on the farm.
I have purchased several grease guns over the years and none were as good as we had on the farm. Most that I have purchased were junk and useless. After studying what was on the market, I took a chance on the Lucas Heavy Duty with Pistol Grip and am satisfied. Excellent piece of equipment. Good purchase if you want a good grease gun.

One tiny quirk but I’d definitely recommend it.
It’s a grease gun, it does what you’d expect it to. No leaks, easy to pump, the rubber grip is really nice.. My only issue (and it may just be because of the aftermarket suspension) is that it clips on to the zerks with no effort. But removing it takes both hands and quite a lot of strength. Other than that it works as it should.

The grease gun seems to work well thus far especially for the money. The flexible tube really came in handy while lubing the drive shafts on my LX470. However, at the end of the flex tube there is a tighten nut that gets very hard to adjust by hand once any grease get on it. I would test pulling the tube off the zerk fitting multiple times before actually shooting any grease in.
