This cowling fitted PERFECTLY onto our 110mm (external diameter) soil pipe, and it has a nice "interference fit" so will not come loose. Highly recommended 😉👍

Good to keep the birds and rain out

I've recently installed it on my flat roof for kitchen extractor fan and satisfied with the quality of this product

I had ro renew the soil vent pipe because it was aged and cracked. The original had this semi-spherical affair that was designed to keep bids and rodents out but not the rain. Despite its efforts birds had still tried to built a nest within the pipe. This item fitted snugly and securely in seconds and should live up to its claims. Just for your 8nfo because it is difficult to suss out in the sales blurb but the internal diameter of the fitting is 110mm and so the pipe slides up inside....the pipe is the male and the cowl the female. No I'm not being rude. The only criticism is that the companies that manufacture pipes and fittings in the UK do not produce something like this. It's so much better than the original.

Good value for money it just finishes the top of the pipe, it’s quite sturdy I am very pleased with it

Does the job

These are all supposed to be a standard size, but there's lots of evidence online that they tend to vary quite a bit. This was is exactly as advertised, giving a nice snug fit. Seems well designed and made. Sensible price too.

This is made of cheap plastic, not steel as advertised. It is also too big for a 4” soil stack as advertised. I expect it to blow off unless I can find a way to pack out the circumference. So don’t waste your money-it’s probably worth about a fiver. I’m keeping it as I’ve been finding it difficult to find a 100mm vented cover. It will have to do for now. ETA Actually, no, it’s so big that it completely sealed off the stack (pipe came up past vent holes) and sewer gas came in. Added photo of diameter. Absolutely useless for a 4” pipe.
