It's an absolute beast! Bonsaii !!!
Bonsaii !!! 16-Sheet Microcut Paper Shredder, 60-Minute Home Office Heavy Duty Shredder is an absolute beast! My husband and I shredded about five reams of documents and old credit cards the day it came. Total run time was about 3 1/2 hours. I recommend shredding 8-10 sheets maximum at any time, and periodically letting the machine run its reverse cycle. This helps ensure it runs smoothly and you'll get tiny microcut pieces. It needs to be able to run efficiently and without causing the motor to labor. Also recommended is to periodically check your bin (which is huge) and don't let it overfill. It holds a lot. Well worth the investment. Has casters you can add. Well boxed and it's a sturdy machine. Highly recommend. This replaced an older Royal machine with 8-sheet capacity. The difference is like night and day.

Compact, quiet, reliable
Been shredding a lot of old files in an attempt to cleanup lately. Also had amassed a ton of swept-into-the-corner-when-company-came-over junk mail that needed to get shredded. My old home office shredder bit the dust and my wife's home office shredder, while still working quite well, only supports 1-3 sheets at a time and overheats every 10 minutes. It took forever to shred half of a 50 gallon box filled with various stuff! Since mine was dead and I was tired of spending days doing this, I decided to upgrade. I got the Bonsaii C149-C shredder. This thing is quiet, fast, and can shred at least 10 sheets of mixed-weight paper with barely any effort. It will also last up to 60 minutes of continuous use before overheating. It is not too big for a home office. The castors are a great touch and the removable bin makes emptying a breeze. I finished all my shredding in one evening! So, consider this my enthusiastic endorsement!

Shredder
Great shredder, works well. Can put a number of pages in at a time and not be scared you have too many pages to shred at the same time and that it'll get stuck. Only time it stops working is when it's full!!

Very good quality and price
This product has been great to use so far. We've shredded cardboard as well as lots of paper and it's held up without any problems. It has been oiled regularly, but we have put it to very good use since we purchased it. It's no louder than other shredders - my husband and I aren't bothered by the noise as it's easy to hold a conversation while shredding. The shred is cris-crossed, making nice tiny pieces for our worm composting. It is a great value for the cost.

Works great for shredding cardboard
Other than regular household shredding duty I purchased this unit mainly for the purpose of shredding cardboard for our compost. Over the last month and a half I have shredded enough cardboard to fill the large bin 5 times, and this shredder hasn't slowed down at all. I have shredded a full bin in one continuous session and the unit has never stopped due to overheating. The operational noise seems pretty much the same compared to other shredders I have used. The shredding speed is very good and as I've mentioned, that has been shredding all corrugated cardboard up to this point.

Major Headache
I used my Bonsaii C149-C Shredder for two 45 minute sessions and it worked perfectly. At that point my review would have been glowing. But for the next shredding session the shredder would not work. I did all of the troubleshooting referenced in the manual, nothing worked. I tried to email customer service, but the address listed in the manual did not work. I googled the company and went to their website. From there I got their toll free number and called them. Their advice didn’t work either. I asked for their correct email address and got a different one. It too did not work. At that point I decided to return the item. There are two crucial points to mention. The first is that no where in the item description, nor on their website does it mention that the Bonsaii C149-C Shredder should NOT be used to shred plastic window envelopes. It is only mentioned in the printed manual that comes with the unit. Also, it is printed in small gray, not black, type. The second is for people who use Amazon Reviews to make a decision then buy it elsewhere. From the company’s tech support they told me that their warranty is honored only if the unit was purchased from Amazon or Staples. During my googling I learned that it is sold from other reputable retailers. I feel that this is unconscionable. Because of Bonsaii’s inability to have a working customer service email address, and not universally honoring their warranty, I would not buy from them. That said, my unit was obviously a lemon. At first my unit worked marvelously. (see the accompanying picture) Ostensibly it is the perfect shredder for someone who has 50 pounds of accumulated documents to securely destroy. I only got through about three pounds before mine died. One last thing, it was supposed to arrive with a of pack lubrication paper. It was missing from mine. I already had a bottle of shredder lubricating oil on hand. Regardless of make, the shredding heads of heavy duty shredders need to be regularly lubricated.

Es exactamente lo que esperaba y no se calienta si la utilizas un buen rato, lo que no me gustó es que es muy pequeño su contenedor y se llena muy rápido.

Unwrap it carefully. Buy the oil but not the bags. I am trying to be as green as possible and in early retirement I have been shredding a lot of old work related documents as well as my daily i newspaper and as much of our lockdown delivery cardboard as fits through the shredder. First impressions: It arrived as predicted within 48 hours and was well packed and Undamaged. As described by others the Castors look fragile and are not free running even after lubrication. It was bought to replace well used (10yrs+ ) but jammed and burned out high end domestic Fellowes machine with a easy to empty basket. ( see comparison in photo ). I am using the plastic bag that came around it in the box, it was also supplied with a single bag inside as well. Buying commercial see through polythene shredder bags will be convenient but they cost 16p each and won’t biodegrade. I oiled the cutter blades before use. Performance after filling one bag to brim: Noise - much, much less noisy than my old machine and more pleasant pitch - you could work in the same room. Capacity- 20 mins continuous use including up to 16 sheets of professional magazine shiny paper, several i newspapers torn in half lengthways, amazon cardboard book delivery cartons folded double thickness to full width (22cm) I didn’t try it on copier paper. The cooling fan comes on while in use but at no time did it run over after finishing shredding an item. As reported by others, for security purposes, the chads are wider than other machines but for composting this does not matter. I suspect this also the reason for its quietness and speed. It cross cut the newspaper much more effectively and therefore the shreddings sat down in the bin more easily. As a result I got a lot more in the bag than my old machine. I try not to compact the shreddings as that defeats the speed of compost making. Speed: for home use it was comparable to the old Fellowes and for a once a day session I am content but you cannot fill an auto feed and walk away. There was a slight delay on both starting and starting to reverse - this might be a good thing. It stopped 2 seconds after the cutters cleared. It stopped automatically on the first fill but I am not sure if that is a feature. Ergonomics: it’s lower than the old machine but the slot is same distance from the front. This made it more of a strain to feed it while standing but it’s shape and size and the (careful use of ) the castors mean it would be ideal for sitting under a desk. The bag sits over the rim at the back and sides and I did not have a significant spillage, the clips at the front are a bit fiddly but once you master the technique it clips in and prevents leaks at the front. I would not want to tip the shreddings straight from the bin into a plastic bin bag as the plastic felt quite fragile and the rectangular shape would not fit easily into the bag for a second fill and protruding plastic lugs would tear the bag. But transferring shreddings form the transparent bag to another bag was pure dead simple. Reliability: no comment Excellent first impressions. If it lasts then it should be more than adequate to supply my Allottment with brown material to go with the kitchen waste and grass clippings

First time trying with small load, it immediately gave out strong burning smell, and says overload. I switched off and cleaned up the feeder and tried the second time days later. Second time trying with just a piece of thin paper, it still says overload, and died within 2 second. It cannot be turned on anymore since. Do not buy!
