This castor oil, known as Palma Christi, or "Palm of Christ" has definitely been a miracle oil in my life. Having suffered with Chronic Lyme Disease for probably 12+ years until I was finally diagnosed properly, I suffered from major muscle, tendon, and ligament damage that has caused daily chronic pain. I started using castor oil packs on affected areas, but had so many damaged areas, that I resorted to generously rubbing the oil on my entire body and getting into a hot bathtub. Since the oil is very thick, it stays on my skin. I work the oil into my skin and then I begin massaging the affected areas. Sometimes I am in the tub for a couple hours. Lot's of liquid soap and shampoo is needed for the clean up. I have experienced so much healing by doing this on a weekly basis!! The only caution is that you should start out with less time in the tub, as the oil is very good at stimulating your lymphatic system, which causes a "herx reaction" from all the toxins that are released in your body. Drinking lots of lemon water, doing an epsom salt bath, or taking activated charcoal can help alleviate the symptoms. This oil has definitely been the Palm of Christ in my life!! It is also high quality, as it is cold pressed and hexane free!

Excellent product. With continued use, Castor oil works great for aches and pain. This time, one of my bottles came cracked. Luckily not much leaked out, just enough to make it messy but nothing had leaked to the outside of the packaging yet. Could use more bubble wrap on the inside. Would definitely order again. Rated for product, not packaging 😉

Great buy, volume is perfect but one of the bottles came broken and the product leaked all over the box. Thankfully it was only a few ounces. I feel like I can’t give 5 stars bc of this though

Home Health brand castor oil is produced in a similar way to Heritage brand's castor oil. The oil is cold pressed without using hexane to extract the oil from the castor bean plant (Ricinus communis). I've used this oil from everything to clearing up cysts, in castor oil packs, to curb inflammation, seal moisture into my dry hair and to cleanse my scalp. Sleeping prophet Edgar Cayce called castor oil "Palma Christi," or "the palm of christ" for its ability to heal and treat an innumerable amount of ailments. Supposedly Egyptians used it in past cultures to address illness, while Indians used it in Ayurvedic medicine (swallowing spoonfuls) for internal cleansing. I once did this, but no longer recommend it as a laxative since it can irritate the stomach lining (especially if it's a chronic condition). What's the difference between the two brands. Not sure, but it may help to keep the following in mind. In a May 2010 article, Virginia Based Heritage Products (which also produces cold-pressed castor oil and follows Cayce's readings) claim to keep a tight ship when overseeing what their growers put into their products. I'm not sure what type of quality control that Home Health exercises over the crops they produce. Please refer to Harold J. Reilly's "The Edgar Cayce Handbook of Health through Drugless Therapy Book" for directions on creating a castor oil pack with wool. Some may be available through an Internet search. Before purchasing this product, please shop around, since the price tag from some vendors selling this oil tends to be overpriced. There are those that sell it at a reasonable price. Buyer beware.

32 oz. is the size I send my clients home with after making them a full castor oil pack. This size is what you need if you are doing abdominal or back/hip pack over a period of time. Great for pain. I split this pack for 2 people this time, but as long as it is unopened and stored in a cool, dark place, it should last for 2 years +.

Marvelous skin care product. I reccomend this product for you who have dry cracked ashy skin.
