The diameter of our sanding pads is 125mm/5inch.

If 125 in the name means 125 mm then these will fit. I would recommend the discs for DIY only.

How are the sanding discs secured to the sander?

They attach with a hook and loop / Velcro system. The back of the discs are soft loops and attach to the plastic hooks on my sander.
