Inexpensive way to keep eyewear on your at all times
These are a tad different than eyewear retainers that go over/around the end of sunglasses' arms. These go over onto the middle of the arm itself, which means the rope will hang on or next to your ears. These resemble what school teachers used to use to keep their reading glasses handy. I do like that it's different this way, and it comes in fun colors to complete the nerdy look. These help a lot in the summer when walking my dog because my hands are full! I don't have to worry about clipping my sunglasses to the back of my head hanging onto my ears, or on top of my head (which gets the lenses all blurry from hair product rubbing onto the lenses). I also learned the hard way NOT to clip sunglasses onto my tee shirt collar. I hurt when I dropped my new pair of Oakleys smack onto the floor when reaching down to get something that had fallen onto the floor. The strap is adjustable, and the cord is washable. These will not help your shades float. The snug part that holds onto your sunglasses arms are soft and made of rubber so won't scratch your eyewear. Inexpensive and "different" looking, these retainers are worth the few bucks.

Just the thing for my lady!
I like the CHUMS floaters when I'm fishing, but my girlfriend complained that the pieces that fit over then ends of the earpieces add too much bulk. So I bought her a set of these, since they attach farther forward on the earpieces. She loves them -- but then, she doesn't go fishing as often as I do. Seriously, they're ideal for keeping hold of your sunglasses during practically all outdoor activities including walking, jogging, hiking and perhaps even some amusement-park rides.

keeps me from losing my sunglasses
I kayak and swim. the chums hold my glasses on. one must remember that when going into the water, it is best to tighten the chums. otherwise, your glasses may still come off over top of your head. I use my chums with sunglasses every day. they hold up well. I think I paid $7 for this pr. that's about the normal price if you can find them in a store. they also shed water quickly.

Inexpensive and sturdy!
I'm nearsighted, so I must wear corrective lenses to drive or see anything at a distance clearly. These eye-wear retainers are well designed. they maintain a good strong grip on the end of my glasses frames--great for windy days. And I especially like the numerous color choices this company offers. The woodland camo colors are a great addition in my bug-out bag. After all, in the event of a prolonged emergency scenario, the last thing you wanna lose are your prescription glasses.

Completely unusable
The rubber attachments are not as pictured and don't come anywhere close to fitting on the arms of my sunglasses. They're kid-sized, maybe.I've been very happy with other Chums in the past, and specifically ordered Chums and selected the model that was pictured as being identical to my last set.

The best retainers I've found
For simply keeping sunglasses around my neck when I'm briefly not wanting to wear them, these are perfect. Like many other reviews have said, the small rubber loops that go onto the glasses get stretched out over time, allowing the string to easily slide off of the glasses temple. For use around town, this is an annoyance. If one were on a boat and leaning over the edge, it could lead to lost glasses. I wish Chums would make the rubber loop a bit stronger and non-stretchable.

They slide off my glasses . . .
Nice looking. Obviously well made. The price was right. The cordage is a little stiff and kinks and becomes knotted. That may result from the way I twist and turn - and is perhaps not the fault of the cordage. But I suspect that if the cordage were a little limper that kinks would shake out more easily. I am using these Chums with drugstore reading glasses - Magnavision to be exact. The glasses' ear-pieces are thin and the little rubber gismeroid whatchacallit on the bitter ends of the Chums which slip over the ear-pieces tend to slide off. This tendency to slide off gets worse as hair oil builds up and makes things more slippery (ugh). I guess I better order some Head & Shoulders - from Amazon of course. Mr. Bezos will need a set of Chums Eyewear retainers when he takes up his new role as Editor at the Washington Post.

Didn't want to lose my new Maui Jim prescription sunglasses
I had used the Chum brand before and had good experience with it. I had also used the kind that have rubber tips at the ends. My hair would either get caught in it (I'm a female) or the rubber would eventually pull off. If you move the end wrap to between your ear and the front of your face you won't feel it on. Happy with this purchase.

Handy for outdoor or sport activities
These are great for outdoor or sports activities. I like how you slide the rubber loop onto the arms of your glasses and can re-adjust accordingly. No issues or worries about glasses flying off and they nicely hold your glasses (hang from neck) when you need to wipe sweat off your face.Note - the design style leans heavily towards “sporty” so if you are looking for indoor office usage these are probably too casual looking.

The best glasses retaining straps I've ever found in my extensive hunt for the perfect strap
This is my second Chums sunglasses strap. I absolutely LOVED my first one and it lasted me a few years of very intensive usage (I am a sailor so am wearing it pretty much perpetually on my sunglasses, outside in the elements) before one side of the rubber ends finally gave up and tore. The rubber grippy bits stretch a fair bit and have never slipped off the arms of my sunglasses. I hunted high and low to get a second set that matched my first, I loved them so much! Highly recommend this product.

works well
work well and are great for different style of glasses. The string could be a little longer but it is a well made product.
