Hot Alpha. Crazy Ex’s. Epic love story. Includes Spoilers
No cliffhangerStandalone though part of a larger seriesTold from both POVs throughout the book.Epilogue is 4 POVsCourtney left her husband after she found out he cheated on her and got another woman pregnant while she was going through IVF. Brand new to New York, she meets an architect who will be designing her new home.Lucas isn’t without baggage or his own. A single dad with a horrible ex wife, he hasn’t been interested in a woman for some time. His entire focus has been a raising his daughter, but that all changes when he meets Courtney. The attraction is immediate and their romance is beautiful. The problem is when you both have crazy ex’s things are bound to get complicated. The question is, are they willing to fight through it or will they give up at the first sign of drama. This book is a must read!SpoilersSpoilersSpoilersSpoilers...............Ok, I gave you ample warning and time to look away. I won’t give away the entire book but there were a few things I just have to call out. Both good and bad, nothing too bad. I still loved the book.I hate we didn’t get to see him propose. I would have loved to see that and how he ended up doing it knowing Maddie ruined the surprise.Wish it hadn’t jumped right to the wedding as well. Felt like there were a few times the timeline jumped pretty significantly.I loved Maddie and I love even more that she had her own POV in the epilogue. I liked the short little snippet from Lorie as well.

Predictable
I am a huge Aurora Rose Reynolds fan I have read every book she has published. Most of her books involve alpha men, ladies in distress, and steamy romance. This series has those things but it is more of a contemporary romance showcasing the day to day life of a new couple meeting and getting to know one another. It’s not as thrilling as her other series and the characters baggage and how they respond to that baggage is pretty predictable. You don’t have to read the first three books to follow this one but it would be better if you did. One other small pet peeve I have with a book that includes children in the storyline. The children need to articulate at their age level in the dialogue. It only happened a few times but the six year old girl in this book responds like an adult to questions a few times. It suspends the flow of the book and breaks character which again is disrupting to the story. This is the story of Courtney and Lucas who have both just recently moved to New York. Lucas is a single dad, an architect, and hires on to renovate Courtney’s new house. Courtney is recent a divorcée who was hurt badly by her ex, not sure she is ready for a new relationship let alone one with a man who has a crazy ex-wife. Sparks fly when Lucas and Courtney meet for the first time and things progress as expected from there. This is a full length book, written well, the storyline is fluid (except for the tiny issues noted above), the steamy scenes are steamy enough. All in all it was a decent read and worth the money. I just found it a little mundane at times. I recommend the author’s Until series it has more excitement and surprises. Enjoy!

All the feels
God I loved this story! It had me smiling, tears and happy. All the feels were there and I’d except nothing less when Auroras name is on the cover.Courtney always dreamed of having a family, having grown up in the foster system. When she met Tom she thought all her dreams were going to happen. But after years of trying unsuccessfully to have a baby it was like her dreams her dying a little more each time. When her husband cheats on her she’s devastated but when the woman he cheated with announces she’s pregnant it’s like a slap in her face.So she does the only thing she can, after divorcing Tom she leaves and heads to New York City. A new start and a new life.Luke Fremont, divorced single dad to Maddie ( she’s adorable) is the architecture who Courtney uses to re-design the home she purchased. What neither expected was the instant attraction they have when they meet. Both having been hurt in the past they had pretty much given up on happily ever after. But when you see these three together you know that sometimes life has a plan. And maybe you have to go through a tonne of crap to get where you belong. This story delivered. The engagement factor with all the characters not just the leads was fantastic. You felt all the emotion in the story. The hurt, ups and downs the lot.I always one click when I see Auroras name I know I’m going to get strong Alpha hero’s who epitomise how a man behaves. The woman are as equally strong, sometimes they may be a little broken but with the love and strength of those around them they open up and become more.

Favorite of the series
I have loved every book in this series, but I gotta say Luke and Courtney are my favorite couple. This one was so sweet, sexy and just plain romantic! You could feel the connection of them fly off the pages. One of the things I love most about this author is she doesn't drag out antsy stuff and nips it in the bud quickly. Luke's little girl Maddi was so sweet. Through in 2 exes, a dog named Medira and you have a all the feels book! Super great read. If I could give this book a 10 star rating i would.
