Great device... I believe this measurement correlates to your GKI!
Okay, I got it in and used it the last 3 mornings, along side my Glucose and Ketone numbers (from my blood tests). Where is what I noticed right away... This appears to represent a number closer to Glucose Ketone Index (GKI). In the USA, GKI = Glucose/18/Ketones (rest of the world usually does Glucose/Ketones). That number is generally thought of as your metabolic level of utilizing ketones. Above 6: Nothing Special 3-6: Maintenance (of weight, etc) 0-3: Weight loss The closer to 1 is very therapeutic. I test my glucose/ketones and generate my GKI every morning. I do a lot of fasting, and have gotten numbers are low as 0.6 and 0.8 (meaning I am REALLY in deep ketosis, and utilizing a lot of ketones). so, for the last 3 days, here are my my numbers AND my PPM from this AWESOME Tool: 6.42 GKI => 7.2 ppm 3.14 GKI => 15 ppm (6.42/3.14 ~2 -> Doubling of PPM) Nice, this PREDICTED about a 30 reading for the next one 1.25 GKI => 41 ppm This is what I got! WOW! I will continue to track this. 15ppm and higher is weight loss, 30 or higher is therapeutic (based on how these are tying together) So, at 150 for 300 readings, this machine costs you 50 cents/reading. A Bargain, because testing BOTH costs my 1.34 (without the Keto-Mojo Cost). After 300 uses, you send it in, and I was told that for $30, they replace the sensor, recalibrate, and return the device to you.. That reduces the FUTURE costs to 10 CENTS. A Massive savings. And no blood draws. I truly believe if we can correlate these numbers to the GKI (which makes sense), then this is actually a much easier device to use and carry with you. you do lose some information, like your blood glucose levels, but honestly, THIS is the number to track. Now, I am going to start testing/comparing against my daughter as well. To see if her numbers are different. The simple fact that these numbers are even CLOSE to the relationship I predicted based on GKI is awesome! Why should they track? Because it can't track your serum (blood) numbers. Those numbers represent the MIX of fuel that is available. But the GKI attempts to estimate EITHER Insulin as a proxy (lower GKI means less insulin), or your metabolic flexibility+fat burning. In the second mode, the lower the glucose the more dependent on burning fat you are. THAT is where there seems to be a correlation to this measurement. Now, the GKI values may not match perfectly at the same numbers, but I believe it might. Anyways, this device is definitely worth getting. I find it easier to use than the ketonix and I get more reliable readings out of this. Very Impressed!

Handy if you must get an immediate ketone reading
I recently purchased the V2 KETOSCAN Mini Breath Ketone Meter, and it has been a game-changer for my diet and fitness tracking. This portable breath acetone analyzer is designed to measure ketone levels and calculate body fat-burning rates in your exhaled breath. What I love most about this product is that it is non-invasive. There is no need to prick your fingers. Blow into the device for 3 seconds and get an accurate reading of your acetone levels. The device is also very user-friendly, displaying your results in PPM (Parts Per Million) on the built-in white dot matrix display, which can be viewed on the mobile app. Speaking of the mobile app, it is incredibly useful and easy to use. You can record and monitor your acetone levels and weight daily, weekly, and monthly, and track your calories with photos of the food you ate. It's a great way to keep track of your progress and make informed decisions about your nutrition and fitness regime. What I found most impressive about the V2 KETOSCAN Mini Breath Ketone Meter is its ability to calculate body fat-burning rates. This allows you to determine your optimal ketosis state and plan your nutrition and fitness regime accordingly. It's a great tool for anyone on a low-carb, ketogenic, or other nutrition and fitness program. Overall, I highly recommend the V2 KETOSCAN Mini Breath Ketone Meter to anyone looking to monitor their fat metabolism and level of ketosis. It's a reliable and easy-to-use device that has helped me to stay on track with my diet and fitness goals.

Waste of Money
I really liked this device at first. The first day I used it, it seemed accurate and matched with the keto sticks I was using. The problem came today....I have been getting 0.0 readings all morning, but the kicker is that I haven't eaten or drank anything at all but plain old water since the last time I blew in it before bed. I do OMAD, so I don't eat all day. I only eat once I get home, usually around 7ish. So I got a 6.9 reading right before I went to bed. How is it possible that I'm getting a 0.0 reading when I haven't eaten anything? Also, I can taste the acetone in my mouth, so the fact that it's not detecting any acetone at all is strange. Maybe mine is broken. The $150 is starting to bother me now. I feel like I wasted my money. I think I will be returning this device. Update: I missed the return window so I kept it, but I just had to come back and say that this thing is trash. My keto sticks are dark purple because I’ve been water fasting, but this stupid device only shows 0.0 everytime no matter what. Please don’t waste your money.

Useful Tool
Overall, I'm happy with the Ketoscan meter. Being the kind of person who does not want the stress of putting holes in my fingers every day or the added expense of the the lancets and strips, but wanting more information than urine strips, I find that this sits right in the middle. It give me day to day comparisons of my ketosis levels so I can see when I'm going good or bad and adjust accordingly. Probably not as accurate as analyzing the blood, but easy to adopt for daily use to see trends. Did not give it 5 stars because I find the ketoscan software to be a bit outdated.

A GREAT tool to MASTER your keto diet; never wonder if you’re in ketosis again!
I absolutely love this thing! It’s my new best friend! I was skeptical about spending this much money when things are tight for me, but being able to understand my levels makes it well worth it! Definitely more helpful than the urine strips, which I initially liked. I use this throughout the day to check my ketone levels, and I am able to adjust my food accordingly. For instance if my levels are lower than I’d like earlier in the day, I’ll tweak my macros for dinner to help raise them or leave something off that particular meal for the day, or have more fat etc. I feel like I have more control and mastery over my keto routine with this. I still use carb manager for tracking but my goodness, this takes ALL of the mystery out of the “am I in ketosis” question! Answers that question AND tells you how “far” in ketosis you are in. Super easy to use. Blow once to calibrate, blow again to gauge your data. The app is fairly straightforward and records your data. You don’t have to bother with the app JUST to see your levels, as it also displays on the device. It auto shuts off and seems to stay charged for a good amount of time. I’ve had it for 5 days and haven’t had to charge it yet. I can’t say enough about this! Highly highly recommend! Heads up that you do have to have the sensor reset after 300 trials or so for $30 but even still IT IS WORTH IT!!!!!

Results seem reliable, but the item doesn't feel like it should cost so much.
I'm tracking for the keto diet, and so far this has been easy to use. I would love to be able to use it move often, but with only 300 tests before the device disables itself, I'm kinda regretting my purchase. The device just feels cheap, the plastic feels cheap. It's doing what I need it to do, but I'm not really confident in my purchase especially after realizing the Ketonix device does the same thing, has an app, but does not have a limit on the number of usages. Live and learn- once I've run out of uses, I'll decide on whether I want to go through the whole process of having to send it back for a new sensor or just switching to Ketonix and thinking of this as just a lesson learned with a high price tag. If there was not a limit on the number of tests, I would be a lot happier with my purchase.

Great tool for your Keto fat loss journey!
I've completed over a 150 tests over past few months comparing blood, breath and urine here is what I learned. First things first. There are 3 types of tests, blood, breath and urine. Blood is most accurate/most expensive/most intrusive, Breath is nearly just as accurate/expensive/least intrusive, and urine is cheapest/less accurate/kinda messy. Accuracy - More accurate than urine. KetoScan probably most accurate for fat loss. Not always as precisely lock step with blood test results, but pretty close. Ease of use - KetoScan test and app pretty good. Works great for logging notes and results. Ketoscan takes about 30-60 secs for results. Final Recommendation - If your goal is weight loss, KetoScan is perfect tool for weight loss journey. Dont hesitate to buy. For the simple reason if you burn fat, it will leave in your breathe. From what I have seen, if my breathe ketones are above 10, iI losing 2-3 lbs a week. If they are 5 or lower, losing less than 1 lb/week. This is relative to calorie restricted diet. Side note: There was a study years ago relative to your breath ketones and your breath ketones are above 10, you will lose 2.5lbs a week. If it is above 5, then 1.25lbs a week. The Ketoscan fat oz/hour numbers seem to be based off that study and seems to be true for me too.

Reliable and Accurate Ketone/Acetone Breathalyzer
I have been keto on and off for nearly 2 years and had started using a ketone blood meter early on in my journey. I am familiar with how my diet impacts the level of ketones my body produces and understand how to manipulate my metabolism to maximize fat burning. The breathalyzer I purchased is very accurate and has been consistent with my results from blood ketone testing. I use the Keto mojo glucose and ketone blood meter. Pros: Reliable. Testing twice in a row provided the same or similar result. Testing compared to blood meter provided a similar result. Readings of .5-1.0 mg/dL On blood meter was equivalent to 5-10 on the breathalyzer. I’ll attach images if it allows. Comes with a nice carrying pouch and extra attachments for the breathalyzer. It’s cheaper in the long run. You get 300-320 uses with the first purchase and for every replacement, 300-320 when you send it in for $30+shipping. No blood, no urine, just breath, cleaner, preferable way of testing ketone levels. Stores data in the app for you to keep track of your readings and you can take notes and upload photos with your results. It helps to remember what diet or activities promoted each respective reading. Cons: Testing with this is not as quick as blood testing. I often have to do what’s called a self-diagnostic which essentially is a pre-test before the actual testing. I have to blow into it and it takes approximately 25-30secs and then the actually test is about 15-20secs. Testing requires you to download the KetoScan app. All readings are stored in the KetoScan app using a Bluetooth connection. KetoScan is not compatible with the Fitbit App which is what I use to track and manage weight and other health information. This is probably the most disappointing. I hope more features for the app roll out overtime. You have to manually update your weight and body fat percentage for an accurate reading. You have to ship in your meter to calibrate it to get what you might consider a “refill” of breath testing at 300-320 test for $30. Cheaper but inconvenient to have to go without testing for the interim. You have to pay to ship the product back and they will pay to return the product back to you.
