Let me first start by offering this disclaimer: I am by NO MEANS a healthcare professional, or authority on disease control, and have no personal or professional expertise on whether or not this gaiter is effective in preventing the spread of germs or airborne disease, other than I use this in conjunction with all other CDC recommendations (social distancing, washing hands, avoiding prolonged attendance in busy places, etc..).I would defer to the actual doctors and scientist who are more knowledgeable about that stuff than I'll ever be.I have simply been wearing this gaiter as an alternative - not a REPLACEMENT - for an actual N95/KN95 mask - which I still wear when in situations where I am forced to have to deal with multiple individuals for prolonged periods of time in relatively closer quarters.So... I've been wearing this gaiter since this whole pandemic business took off earlier this year, because the paper masks were always either unavailable, or really uncomfortable, or just not necessary because of my being relatively isolated from other people or being far away (think hunting, hiking, surf fishing, boating, etc.). I've been wearing this thing EVERY SINGLE DAY; and so far it has kept its elasticity, washes out easily, breathes easily, and isn't overly cumbersome. I'll be ordering another one soon just to give this one a break, and maybe a different color just to add a little variety.There are reports that gaiters may be more harmful than wearing an actual NIOSH mask. Im not refuting or agreeing; and any decisions you make to wear one or the other is purely up to you. I'm just reviewing the overall comfort and durability of this particular product - which so far, has been excellent for me personally.

I ride motorcycles and have tried many different similar masks and this one is the best. Most have weak elastic to keep the mask in place, but this mask has very strong elastic and will stay in place and last a long time. Most masks only have elastic at one end, but this mask has their strong elastic at BOTH ends. The thing that will wear out on these masks first is the elastic, but this mask having it on both ends should double its life span. Most of these summer masks are very thin, but this mask has a little thicker premium material that is almost silk like and it keeps you cool. Reasonably priced and multiple color selection make this the mask to buy!

This product is for a multitude of things. I have severe asthma/allergies. Plus, it keeps people away from me during this pandemic. I get a wide birth! Plus, I'm not using our first responder masks or paying 90 bucks for surgical masks due to price gouging!I was concerned about this covering my neck. However, it doesn't cling, like a turtle neck, nor do I feel like I'm being choked. Then, I feared I would sweat to death but I don't. I have worn it for 3 plus hours at a time. And, I do not touch my face or have the need to adjust it during use.The negative is it isn't tight enough to deal my nose. This product will not last long because it stretches with every use. I plan to order more when it's on its last leg since it works for me! I do recommend!

I decided to buy this as a solution to needing a beard net. The beard nets these days look terrible and constantly make weird touches to various parts of the face as a result of the extra space between net and beard. This solves the problem easily as it hugs the features. It pinches on the nose a little bit but it can be adjusted for comfort and is much more comfortable than a beard net. It is very breathable and keeps cool without heating your face as you breathe. It has the added appeal or looking more masculine than the ever emasculating beard net and makes me feel a bit like a ninja or stealth ops. 10/10 would buy again, bought a set of two in case a friend likes it too.

These worked good for a while but then the stitching on the edging just started to unravel and the spandex gave up on the one I usually use.If they wouldn't have gone to heck so quick this would be a 5 star review. At least the brown one isn't too hot and doesn't soak up too much sun. The black one gets a little hot out in the sun all day.comfort and weight are 5 stars but durability is 1 star.

Bought this primarily as an alternative to faces masks during the COVID health crisis. I work in a hot factory and they stay a little cooler than the cotton/fleece masks we were provided. When not in use, I can wear it around my neck instead of fumbling with what pocket to stick a mask in. Coworker liked them so much he had me order a pair for him as well.Doubles nicely as sun protection when I'm out fishing.Initially a little tight but the fabric loosens up after a few washes.I'd suggest air drying or a short tumble dry in a machine to avoid damage.

These are great. I have to wear a mask at work (even though they don't work) for 10 hours a day, so I wanted something comfortable.These are lightweight and it doesn't feel like you're wearing a mask at all. You can actually breathe while wearing it. I'm claustrophobic, so I hate wearing masks, but these are so thin, they don't bother me.They are too thin to offer any type of virus protection, yet neither do "medical" masks, so they are just for show, which is fine for me.

I bought this product based on the images and it looked like a mask that was loose and comfortable to wear. When I finally received it and tried it out, it was way too tight. My whole face under the mask prints horribly because it's tight. I tried adjusting it by just putting the mask above my nose and leaving it down behind my head. It doesn't matter ,my nose is smushed and you can see my chin and lips. So what I received is not meant for large person like me. To give you example of my size, I wear a 7 3/8 ball cap. And what I received is not what I see in the photos unless those people are tiny. I can't return it because i have to use a ship forwarding service to get it where I'm at which irritates me more. Do not buy unless you like something choking you.
