How does this connect to the support pole? What diameter pole is needed?

The antenna comes with a 1 1/4" support tube which the antenna itself mounts in. The support tube has two u-bolt clamps to mount the support tube to the mast. The clamps will work on the mast tubing of 1 1/4" to 2" in diameter.

What are the dimensions of this antenna when fully assembled? I may need to deploy through a window.

Approximately 60x3x3 inches. Would not recommend indoor use.

Does this have pl259 type connector?

Yeah, the x50a is a so-239 ....the x50n is a n type connector ...use no less that rg8 feed line ....I recommend lmr400 which is what I use ....73's

Will this work in the 450-470mhz range?

Yes it will, it works in the 70cm bands (420-450) MHz as well as the 2 meter (144-148) MHz bands. It's a great antenna with good gain and is really well made. Hope this helps.
