Andis 65685 UltraEdge Carbon-Infused Steel Clipper Blade, Size 1-3/4, 3/16-Inch Cut Length

Nice blade, using on the Oster 76 classic clipper. Smoother neater cuts using a changeable blade than the fixed blade clippers. Will not hesitate to buy Andis blades for my Osters. Then again I would buy Oster blades for my Andis if I had a pair.

As a barber and an Andis fan, I've enjoyed having more blades just on either side of what for me is the most useful blade— the 1.5. It has required me however, to create a marking system to identify them from each other because they go face down on my tool stand. The wrong side. See photo My new 1–3/4 blade is however marked incorrectly at 4mm, instead of what the package correctly indicates of 4.8 mm. It's clear to my trained eye that it's not a 4mm #2. For those of us familiar with our now archaic Amero-English measurement called the inch, this system goes by 1/8 inch (2.4 mm) increments mostly— getting smaller toward the shorter blades. This blade fills the gap between the 1 1/2 and the 2. God help us with this ridiculous sizing system that is illogical. . The 2 is correctly named at 1/4 inch. As for the 3 1/2— half of what? it's 3/8ths of an inch exactly, therefore it's a 3. The 3-3/4 is really a 4 because it's 1/2 inch, 4 eighths is a 4, in my mind. They finally came to their senses and called the newer bigger blades by an actual measurements, 5/8ths and 3/4ths of an inch. I of course call them the 5 and 6. Screw it, go by mm— IF ANDIS COULD GET ONE SYSTEM RIGHT! Perhaps my mis-marked blade will become a collector item... Look out for the animal sizes they're the same as human blades but different markings yet, usually starting with a capitol A

Well made but I returned it, unopened, as it was not what I needed.

this blade is great at erasing lines between the #1.5 and #2 blade sized. it is quiet and cuts very clean. No complaints here.

I love this blade...the 2 blade leaves top a little too long...1 1/2 a little too short...This is the perfect length buzz cut. and fades of course perfectly into a 1 1/2...much better than a #2 blade does.

I wanted it for my beard. Great length and so much better than using a comb attachment.
