Nelson853104-1001 Rezimar Dual Outlet Hose Adapter

UPDATE: WORKS FLAWLESSLY AND ZERO LOOSE DRIPPING SEAL. sad it appears this brand is being discontinued.I've been struggling to set up a new garden hose connection. I spent a lot of time w/reviews. I bought the one with very high numbers of reviews. Hundress of 5star reviews dominated the list. Setting it up, testing a low pressure in case a bad seal. ALL THREE SEALS. I am returning it. I remembered a while ago I bought a 3way splitter (for a different area) I went to where I hooked it up, and today JULY 2018 It's still attached. I turned it on and it remains perfectly seals. I checked and then I did remember NELSON BRAND HOSE CONNECTORS WERE VERY GOOD. I finally just found the same product (THIS ONE ON THIS PAGE) and I saw at the top I had purchased this .... And was shocked to see I brought it back in June of 2009. Nine years of great heavey use, years of no use, and today, 2018, it is a sturdy and sealed as securely since installation in 2009. I am buying this RIGHT NOW.

I bought two of these dual outlets in 2013 (now called hose splitters, so it took a while to locate the original order). They worked well for four years before starting to fall apart in the brutal Arizona sun. The biggest shock came when I tried to remove the old ones. They were virtually welded to the faucets by calcium deposits, and I had no choice but to call a plumber. He could not remove the gadgets either, and ended up sawing off both faucets and installing new ones so I could attach the new ones. Lesson learned: if you have hot sun and hard water, check your hose connections every year or two, and lubricate the threads with Pam cooking spray or WD40.

spent quite a while online looking for a good Y connector for my hose bib, and chose this one. Not the cheapest, a bit loudly colored for my tastes, but it does its job and does it well. Made what could have been a difficult job much easier and still keep functionality to the hose bib. All around solid performer.

Used on my camper so that I could have an extra hose for rinsing things outside the angle worked out perfect for my intended use, lets the hoses lay down to the ground without kinking female is my fresh water in one male to the 90 on the camper that’s facing down and the other male is my rinse down hose.. perfect. Valves operate easily

The large levers on this hose adapter are what first made it look attractive, plus the fact that it can be tightened on the faucet without turning the entire unit. But on two of the three of these that I ordered from Amazon, water almost immediately began leaking out at the point that the metal on the end, where you screw in the hose, joins the composite material that coats the body. Since leaking connections pretty much rule out such products for me, I returned them. (The third one that I ordered, which is close to the ground, where the hoses exert very little pull on the adapter, has not leaked.)

These are better than the others. Smooth, non-leak operation. The switches don't get stuck, either.

This model oxidizes and corrodes badly. The internal areas are not coated properly so these corrode rapidly using normal pH well water (no chlorine or fluoride added by municipality)The zinc pot-metal material used to make these bodies builds up a scale and corrodes. Brass Nelson high flow models do not suffer from this, but begin to leak after repeated use.

We have many hose outlets feeding seven sprinklers on our property. My wife has to turn on and off several times a day and with the type found at Lowes and other hardware outlets, she had to carry around pliers or a wrench to do so. These devices have her job so much easier and eliminated her sore hands, and all at a price comparable to other valves.

Really disappointed by this product. It looks cool, worked great for about 10 month then started to leak. Amazon were fine enough to replace them FOC.I have NEVER been able to reach a human being at Nelson. French service is not available, don't trust the IVR, everytime you ask for french service, you'll go to an infinite loop.I do have a brand new water timer by Nelson too. Same scrap, DOA out of the box.I don't think I will buy Nelson stuff again
