Band-it banding tool works great for banding utility pole to keep it from splitting.
The banding tool worked as expected. There are several videos on internet that shows how to use it.

Excellent Bandit tool

Good Tool
Good durable tool but still hard to pack in the tool bag. Spring loaded band grip is an improvement and the clip on the end of the threaded pull rod keeps the crank on but also makes it more difficult to remove for storage. This tool is a must if you are doing permanent work. Zip ties are great for quick short term installs but Band-It adds permanence.
