Was wanting a direct connection to 12v battery (without an inverter), and this was the ticket. It was only $15 with free shipping. Took it out of the box, plugged it in cigarette lighter, plugged other end in the Surface tablet and pressed the little button and the charging indicator came on the Surface. I'm not sure how long it been, maybe an hour, give or take, and it reached 64%, whereas it was at 16% when I plugged it in. It's definitely charging ok. Still charging, I began browsing the web, went to some forums, watch a couple youtube videos, searched trying to figure out why I cant get my Surface to install its screencast capabilities.. Started to watch part of a movie but noticed my charge had by this time dropped to about 44% even though it was still charging, so I shut down the Surface. Booted it back up about 20 minutes later and it had ac already risen to about 60%, so it seems to be doing its job, though it maybe doesn't provide as much output as a regular ac connected brick would - but I don't know. I do know that it works fine (so far) and I'm real happy with it, its perfect. Also happy about the price. Day 1. So far, so good. There's also a nice unobtrusive blue light on the adapter side that lights when you press the on/off button. So you have two indicator lights for a visual that it is in charging mode. Nice to see that everthing is working.

Who can think of there is a car charger for surface. I love it. It is very functional and good quality. The power button is extra safe. The cable is long enough to manage in the car. Charging quite OK. Do not wait entire laptop charge in one hour. It is slow pace but definitely save your life

Works well slow to charge

Works great. I did encounter a plug issue after 6 months, and contacted the seller. Quick communications, and better yet, within 2 days, under the terms of their replacement warranty, I had received a new one in the mail. This is an excellent seller!

The other brand that my company gave me did not connect well in my Prius lighter, I would have to finagle it repeatedly to get a connection, and it wouldn't last. This one works well, I can just plug it in while commuting between visits, and I don't have to worry about whether it's actually charging. Pleased.

This has helped so much. Allows me to work in the car now.

Love this item. Now I can finally study in the car and on the go without my laptop dying. Just a heads up there is a power button on the charger to turn it on and off. I thought the charger was broken but when I looked at it again I realized there is a power button. The power button is black so it blends into the unit.

I owned this charged for a surface that I use for work while primarily on the road. The charger worked for about (1) week then I noticed, when pressing the power button, it would begin charging than immediately turn off. I was able to occasionally make it work and got by for about 3-4 months. I now no longer works at all. I get a quick flash of blue and the charger does nothing. I reached out to the seller since they offer a 12-month replacement - "Fast charging, overcharge / short circuit / overload / overheat protection; Commitment 30 days money back and 1-year Replacement assurance. Any concerns will be replied within 24 hours by email" Rest assured that statement is false as I have not heard back from the seller and highly doubt I will see a replacement of this product.
