Great walking stick
Very, very nice, strong, straight( even in it had some curve, would still bebok, but I PREFER it straight like the one they sent me) and beaitiful. 55 inches is at my shoulders- Im 6 ft, so it's more than good. Price was right to!

Great Walking Stick (For Its Price)
I'm 5' 2", and this works great for me! I've also seen reviews for people as tall as 5'7" saying it was great for them! The carving is not worth an extra $3, but I don't really mind, since the stick itself is so great! It's not straight and uniform -- it's knobby and cool looking, but not bent, so it still provides good support. Only had it about 2 hours, but rope wrapping has not unraveled as of yet. Ice pick is in good shape. Rubber is fine (it has rings on it for non-slip). The handle is waay too big for my wrist, so I just ignore it, but might be useful for some people! :D I recommend this product if you are looking for something for hiking or just support on walks. Lemme get a little more specific, in case you're curious... Carving: 3/5 stars I got an eagle carving, which added an extra $3 to my purchase. if it had been, say, 50 cents, it would be great, but simple and not worth $3. Fine looking, though -- not ugly. Support/Stability: 4.5 stars The knobbiness makes it a little more tilty, but this is such a small, minute difference that I still think it earns 4.5 stars. Not something to worry about, unless you're, say, a professional hiker. For it's price, absolutely great. Rope Wrapping: 5 stars The wrapping is fine. I heard some people say theirs came off, but as for me, mine is fine. It's comfortable to hold (doesn't rub on your hands.) I really like it. Overall Looks: 5 stars Such an attractive stick! Absolutely love the look! Ice Pick: 4.5 stars Would give 5 stars, but I don't know too much about ice picks, and I'm sure because of the price it wasn't too good quality. Anyways, looks fine to me! A bit off-center, which is worrying, since ice is slippery... if you were on ice, could be dangerous possibly? Once again, such a minute detail it can't bring it down much. Most people probably wouldn't notice. OVERALL: 5 STARS! For its price, awesome!

Well made product- if Amazon could quit messing up orders!
Item itself is as expected and well made. Disappointed in Amazon as the wrong item was delivered the first time. Tried of having to deal with waiting for another shipment and returning the incorrect item delivered. 3 of the last 5 things ordered from Amazon received missing items or wrong item!

ORDER W CONFIDENCE, YOU WILL LOVE THIS WALKING STICK!!!!!!
**************** IMPORTANT UPDATE a few days upon my initial review. People from Outdoor Supply Inc. checked w. me about my complaints, and replaced the defect product w new, good one. New walking stick was received quick, it looks / feels good, and I recommend this product. One should order this walking stick w the confidence that if anything goes wrong w the quality, people from Outdoor Supply Inc. do care, and will take efforts do transaction right. Impressed w your work and efforts. Many thanks. 5 stars for the new walking stick!!!!!!! **************** 1 star means I hate it!! Outdoor Supply Inc. Natural Wood Walking Stick with Grizzly Bear Carving what I received is dangerous object. Its looking nice, and would serve well IF finish fabrication was done properly. THE STICK IS FULL OF SPLINTERS!!! I got hurt bad 4 times while opening the package, thanks God I opened the package instead of the person the stick was ordered for as a present. So, 4 times I had to use a needle and a powerful magnifying glass/loupe to get rid of the splinters stuck in my fingers. Stick looks nice, I like it, but before any handling, one should refinish 100% of the stick, sand it well, GET RID OF ALL SPLINTERS, and then put a few new coats of lacquer. In the form as Outdoor Supply Inc. delivered this stick to me, it is DANGEROUS OBJECT, TOTAL JUNK - DO NOT TOUCH, DO NOT HANDLE. Even better DO NOT ORDER if you dont want to get hurt real bad!!

Walking stick
This walking stick is great. The only thing I didn't like was the design because it is not what the photos show.

Walking Pole
I got mushroom foraging on steep and uneven ground that is wet. This gives me better feeling of stability. I was worried that it wouldn't be strong enough, but it has proved itself and I am very pleased.

Attractive, lightweight, sturdy and useful
Very attractive design. It has a hardy finish that should last well in scrub and the nonslip rope wrapping is perfect for wet weather or for crossing streams, etc. I saw some criticisms of this walking stick in the feedback but I disagree. It is lightweight, strong, and just the right height for walking a trail. Its strength is reinforced with small metal nails or screws that I presume add some needed rigidity. And the bear carved into the stick at the top is a very nice touch, as is the halyard for when you need both hands and want to keep the stick with you. Altogether a very nice stick for a reasonable price.

Deep saw kerf in middle of stick.
I wanted to try walking with a stick. I purchased this one because it was the height i wanted to try and it was inexpensive. The only issue I have is a saw kerf 6 inches below the handle wrapping, (which is where I hold the stick), that penetrates halfway through the staff. Weakening the staff? And is very abrasive to my hand. My review is I would not purchase this item again. Lol, the carving on the stick, I bought the grizzly model, looks a lot like an orangutan.
