Wicca Made Easy: Awaken the Divine Magic within You Review: Outstanding Information; Perhaps Too Much Too Fast - I'm up to page 84 (I'm an as-yet-uninitiated Seeker): Ms. Curott's credentials are impeccable (p.263), and she certainly provides insights and techniques that I haven't come across in the 40+some books on Wicca that I've already read essentially all the text in. So far, this book appears to be an excellent resource ("It's a guide to awakening the divine magic in you....") for those wanting to benevolently use the skill/art/science of witchcraft (as is necessary to be able to be a Wiccan). The book is NOT meant to be "blitz-read": for the program to work, one will have to work the program. As far as I've read, I venture that this book covers a lot of Dedicant ("year-and-a-day") and first-year Initiate topics. This seems like a good book for the "Called" -- but are you called? There is a brief discussion , and the second exercise ("Guided Meditation: Divine Presence", p.26) will help. (For more advice, seek out an Initiated 2nd-Degree Wiccan.) However, for those not sure if Wicca is for them, or who are skittish about Wicca's beliefs and morality, I still recommend Jennifer Hunter's "21st Century Wicca: A Young Witch's Guide to Living the Magical Life". For those with loved ones who are exploring Wicca, there's Carl McColman's "When Someone You Love is Wiccan: A Guide to Witchcraft and Paganism for Concerned Friends, Nervous Parents and Curious Co-workers". I should mention that Ms. Curott has a website ("Resources", p.261), from which it APPEARS that additional training can be obtained. It must be noted however, that the real strength in Wicca and witchcraft is in the covens (see p.42-43 for example), and they prefer to train their way -- so "getting too far ahead of the game" by reading and following a guide might have unintended consequences. Consult an HPS for more advice. Review: Love Phylis Curott's books! - Easy to read and filled with volumes of information and activities. Highly recommended for the beginner along with the advanced practitioner.

Brilliant
Phyllis Curott never disappoints. Theology combined with philosophy, psychology, and well studied material. She's simply brilliant!

The author walks this path
The author walks this path and speaks from that perspective. There is lots of good information in this book. Go through it and enjoy it. Having the corresponding Kindle or physical book can be helpful. It beats constantly backing up the audiobook to write something down. I found having both helpful.

I love this book, but already has a copy at home! Phyllis explains Wicca much better than many I’ve read.

Grateful
The book is an interesting one. It is a memoir and an informational read. I am grateful and wrote in an attempt to educate the public of the misinformation and unnecessary fear of the Wicca crew.

Phyllis Curott has written an amazing book on Wicca which really will help you if you are looking to become Wiccan and don't know where to start. What I personally like about this book is that it is practical. You are not only reading about Wicca, but you are taking your first steps in it as well. May I suggest that if you are going to do the practical work, read through the book first and then take your time re-reading the book and doing the exercises in order. The perfect book for anyone wanting to take their first steps into Wicca.

I love the fact that the author tells you how to work with the book. So you put everything into practice as you are learning about Wicca. You won't learn everything in one go, but it's a start.

I am hardly half-way through the book and already realizing its importance and profound information. The history of Wicca is told in a detailed, philosophical way. You will be much informed by what the book has to say. Such a sensible, excellent description of history and the present time! Years ago, I was 'into' much of this information but got distracted by the workings of a local, small protestant church. Those are my lost years! This, however, is the reclamation of those years. I won't get distracted again. There is much eloquence in the writing of the book. My heart is made peaceful by it.
