The clips are exactly as pictured. They come in a slender white cardboard box. They’re a little stiff at first use so you may need to open and close them a few times to make them easier to clip closed. Hold fine/thin hair firmly with pulling. Easy to take off and don’t catch hair in the point of the clip. Overall, a great deal for the price.

I have a thick head of hair that’s difficult to manage. These were actually what I needed to keep my hair away from my face. These metal hair clips are smooth and sturdy, unlike the ones I just got rid of as soon as I got these. And, these clips are not painted over; I dislike painted hair clips because the colour will eventually chip. If you like sturdy hair clips, these will be just the thing for you.

I just received these and was excited to get them. I was sadly disappointed when I opened them to discover that the did NOT have any grip dots on them. I specifically asked prior to purchasing these to confirm and was told, by the seller, that they did in fact have the grip dots on them. The description also states they have grip dots. MY hair is VERY fine and straight. These are nice and comfortable, but in the 15 minutes that I have been wearing one, all of my hair has fallen out of the clip. I'm hoping to exchange these for what I actually ordered. Otherwise, I'm returning them! I will update my review once resolved. Also, other reviews mentioned bent or defective clips. I went through the entire pack and only 2 of them are bent. Which makes sense base on the way they are packaged. All 25 clips are stuffed into a box that is about 4"x3"x1/2". So, maybe the seller or manufacturer should consider better packaging to prevent damage. Overall, if you have thick, coarse, or curly hair, these will probably work. But if you have fine straight hair, without the grip dots, forget it! UPDATE: Increased from 2 stars to 3 stars. After going through the entire pack and discarding about 7 or 8 of them due to not clipping tightly, or being bent beyond repair, the remaining clips do actually hold quite tightly even though they do not have grip dots. As stated above, my hair is very fine and very straight and these do hold. The main reason I only gave 3 stars instead of 4 stars (the 5th star is long gone due to the number of defective clips in the package) is that they are very tight and somewhat difficult to clip. Not a major issue for myself, but could be a potential issue if using these for a child.
