It has a protective cover just over the front part you use but it's we'll protected in the box so you can put it in a cupboard

Does this work on mixed fabrics, eg. wool blends?

yes. blades spin round behind a guard, thus enabling safe “shaving” of different fabrics.

Does it work on a polyester dress?

I have only used this on wool, ie sweaters and jackets but can't see that it wouldn't work on polyester. Try it somewhere inconspicuous first maybe...

Does it come with a warranty or money back guarantee?
