EMINEM RECOVERY (F) Review: One of my favorite albums - I don't listen to rap. I don't like it musically or lyrically. I have a few Tupac songs I downloaded because my friend loves him. They're okay. I have Parents Just Don't Understand- DJ Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince. Olden days :) I bought a bunch of Eminem CDs because I'd heard a few songs on the radio that I liked okay and he seemed like a decent fellow when I've seen him on TV. Especially when he wears his glasses. I listened to all of them once, put them on my iPod then promptly forgot about all but a few catchy songs scattered on the different CDs. Except for Recovery. It was brilliant. There were a few clunky lyrics here and there about beans and such that I didn't think fit in with the rest of the song. And I skip over Seduction. But the rest of it... Recovery is one of my favorite CDs of all time. Along with MCR's Black Parade, GnR's Appetite for Destruction, Jeff Buckley's Grace, David Bowie's Ziggy Stardust, NIN's Pretty Hate Machine and the Hedwig and the Angry Inch Soundtrack. So if you like those maybe you'll like this. I listened to Recovery sometimes 3 times a day for months after I got it. It made me cry. The lyrics are about Eminem's experiences with celebrity and the music industry, and his relationship with Proof mostly, but many of the lyrics I could've written myself about my relationship with my friend and it reminds me so much of him. The lyrics are strong and clever, for the most part. Anyone who can work antidisestablishmentarianism into a song and have it sound natural deserves recognition for his lyrical prowess. I'd love to see what he does with pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis. The music is distinct and memorable. None of the songs sound alike. It is musical enough for non-rap fans, while still being rap. The best songs, in order of appearance: Talkin' 2 Myself, Going Through Changes, Not Afraid, No Love, Space Bound, 25 to Life, Almost Famous, Love the Way You Lie and You're Never Over with honorable mentions going to Cold Wind Blows and Won't Back Down. The rest are okay, but I often skip over Cinderella Man not because I don't like it but because to me it ruins the flow between the great and sad Space Bound and 25 to Life, and I don't listen to the last untitled song. If it were somewhere else on the album I'd like it but following Love the Way You Lie and You're Never Over it breaks the mood. I hope he continues along this route, I will be looking forward to his next album. Review: Eminem is back and better than ever! - Well lets take you back to 2005 when Eminem is currently touring the "Anger Management 2005 Tour", Eminem is struggling with his addiction to Vicodin, admits he has a addiction to sleeping pills, and is put into a rehab facility for a time period of 3 years. While still in rehab he releases his 1st compilation album along with a series of albums that followed such as: "Curtain Call"(2005), Eminem: Presents The Re-Up (2006). But enough talking lets get to the chase, it's 2008, and Eminem has finally sobered up and is now officially drug free. In 2009 Eminem released his first album in 5 years entitled "Relapse" which was better than his previous album "Encore", which had a-lot of critics raving. Later that year in 2009 Eminem releases another disc for Relapse entitled "Relapse: Refill to fill the fans over till Relapse 2 would drop which would of course be re-named "Recovery" released in 2010. Now lets get to the actual album. 1. Cold Wind Blows 9/10 2. Talking To Myself Feat. Kobe 11/10 (Very impressive) 3. On Fire (This is a freestyle, not my favorite on the album though) 6/10 4. Won't Back Down Feat. Pink (Pop stars Pink and Eminem go very good together in my opinion) 9/10 5. W.T.P (White Trash Party, pretty impressive) I would give it a 10/10 6. Going Through Changes (Deeply describes his near death experience when he accidentally overdosed, this track includes references of his daughters). 12/10 7. Not Afraid (Eminem is now officially clean and is reaching out to people with a similar problem. 12/10 8. Seduction (Somewhat of a diss track, pretty impressive though) 9/10 9. No Love Feat. Lil Wayne (These two mold together very good) 9/10 10. Space Bound (Probably my most liked track on this album) 12/10 11. Cinderella Man (Just great in general) 12/10 12. 25 To Life (Don't really know how to describe this one) 10/10 13. So Bad (Decent track) 7/10 14. Almost Famous (great production on this track as well as many others) 12/10 15. Love The Way You Lie Feat. Rihanna (Pretty great) 8/10 16. Your Never Over (This is a tribute to fallen D-12 member and best friend "Proof", easily the best on the album) 12/10 17. Untitled (This is the freestyle that puts the whole album together, not sure why it was put after "Your Never Over". 9/10. Very impressive I would give the album a ranking of 12/10.

Anspieltipps: Cold wind blows, Not afraid, Love the way you lie 4,5 Sterne

Came in excellent quality, If your starting to get into Eminen, This album is worth the money. Probably best or one of his best albums he has ever done. It features P!nk on "Won't Back Down", Lil Wayne on "No Love", and Rihanna on "Love The Way You Lie and pretty more other amazing tracks. Don't mind the parent advisory sticker, I don't have the normal one because I live in a different country.

This was Eminem's return to mainstream hip hop after his post-Encore hiatus, he released an album called Relapse which is a cult classic in Eminem's fanbase but this album truly brought him back into the lime light that he was once in, legendary songs like Not Afraid and Love The Way You Lie with great , aggressive delivery and pop features. Must buy for fans!
