There's something about the ritual of making tea. I drink Silver Needle Organic White tea every morning. The tea leaves are thin and long so it's hard to pick them up with your fingers without breaking them. I got myself "surgical" tweezers that don't have ridges on the bottom and that's how I put the leaves up in the container. I then put the wooden spoon on my scale and pick out the tea leaves to weigh them. When I get between 3-4 grams of tea I'm ready to begin.... Like I said it's more about the whole ritualistic feel of making tea and having the wooden spoon is just one more thing that makes it fun. The spoon itself is really pretty. It's got a little bit of weight to it so it doesn't feel really cheap. I love the decorations etched into the spoon. The edges are finished and not rough. The whole spoon as a matter of fact is very smooth feeling. When I first got the spoon I was hesitant to wash it because it didn't look sealed. I'm happy to say it came out great. Just make sure if you wash it that you dry it right away. If you're buying this spoon for your tea you won't be disappointed...

Love this little spoon. I use it for my loose teas. It is made very nicely and looks adorable. Love it so much that i ordered one for my daughter as well, and she also loves it.

This thing is adorable and that is the only reason I am keeping it. It is comically small and not practical for scooping what I had in mind, but I smile when I see it and that is enough for me. If you are looking for something to scoop usable amounts of stuff... move on. It isn't this one.
