Rio Beach Classic 5-Position Lay-Flat Folding Beach Chair

This is my second time buying this chair (my first one was in great condition but after three years of use, the cup holder came off with no way to reattach, and its one of my favorite features). Very comfortable, a wider seat (those of us with hips are thankful for that). The arm strap makes it easy to carry and I love how adjustable it us (you can lay entirely flat if you wanted to). My only wish is that it has a headrest but other than that, it's my favorite beach chair!

Cute design, sturdy waterproof fabric, really easy to open and close, super easy to recline with 5 recline positions, lightweight and also comes with a shoulder strap to make it nice and easy to carry. High quality and sturdy. Wood (not plastic) armrests prevent heat burning, great price... who could ask for more? I looked at many chairs and hit the jackpot by choosing this one.

Purchased this for a summer beach vacation for my husband. He loved the chair!! Colors are very bright and vibrant. Very sturdy material and quick to dry. Cup holder was an added plus. Great for water bottles, twist cap sodas or cans. He loved he could adjust the arms to recline or sit up. His only complaint was no pillow (easily solved with a small town or beach pillow) and he would've preferred the back straps to carry. Even with the shoulder strap, it was adjustable and very light weight. I typically carried my chair on my back and his with no issues.

Great chair but a little low for grown sons. I’m only 5 ft. so works great for me.

Exceeds expectations

I've been living in Florida my entire life so I've been to the beach literally thousands of times. I've have gone through several beach chairs. Rio is the only brand I purchase anymore. It's the best value for comfort and longevity not to mention, they're super light. If you consistently rinse them with fresh water after every use, you'll EASILY get years of use from them.

Comfortable, portable if only the beach were included! Nonetheless, the perfect playa companion.

Don't bother spending too much time looking at the "actual" product picture before you purchase because the chair you get may not be manufactured the same way as the photo. The chair I got does not have the curve on the top bar so if you recline with your head back it lays directly in line with the bar at the top of the chair. Incredibly stupid design. Uncomfortable chair. Look elsewhere before wasting money on this one. It may work out if you are under 4'6". Update after using the chair a few times. It is even worse than I thought. as other reviewers have noted, the plastic notches made for the "5 positions" are made of cheap plastic. First time I tried to recline and the back just collapsed. I weigh less than 200 lbs so weight should not be an issue. This is is cheap plastic and a shoddy design. The soft plastic just gave way as soon I reclined. See photo and you can see the broken plastic. I made a final try to get get comfortable by laying flat. Guess what! If you put the chair all the way flat using the support bar on the back, the bar at the bottom of the chair is higher than the seat or back making it impossible to lie flat. Just an awful product. Deserves zero stars.
