Good solid bike carrier
Good solid piece of kit. Feels secure when fitted to the vehicle and easy to use. Worth paying a little bit extra for.

Great product with a few minor points to be aware of
The Saris bones EX 3 is a great cycle carrier. Initial installation took some thinking about but after that its pretty easy to fit. The bikes are securely held in placeThere a few things which are worth knowing about though.Firstly on top of the cost of purchase, I also needed parts to use t with my car (Ford Kuga) That adds £20My full suspension mountain bike does not fit correctly because of the rear shock.I needed to buy a frame adapter, another £20 for a budget version. To keep the forks from moving around, a couple of bungees are required. So budget to potentially add £50 to the original cost.Similar to other makes the Saris bones is easy to steal if left on the car. And at the price is well worth some lowlifehelping himself. To store efficiently its best to put it back into 'as delivered position' Because of the lack of simple markings you then have to go through the initial set up each time you use it.Plus if you don't have a decent sized boot, like on my Kuga. You need to do this procedure in a carpark each time you remove it for security reasons.I've use a paint marker to put some visual marks on mine to aid re-positioning of the arms. The only other area that needs some improvement are the bike retaining straps. They are made of very tough plastic, which is great but they tend to make it difficult to get your bike in position.Had I owned a vehicle with a lower roof I would have opted for Thule roof bar mounted racks, they have much better security features and are much simpler to use.But overall I'm impressed with the quality and performance. Just could have been better.

Feels sturdy for a predominantly plastic made product
Ready to set up but could take 2 goes to get it spot in the first time. Easy to attach to the car. I have a Mercedes E220 saloon and it fits well. I would be concerned about the metal clips on the bit edges chipping or making the paint after time but it’s ok presently. It’s tricky putting on the two bikes but practice will make perfect.

Watch out for paintwork
Make sure to put a microfibre cloth under all the arms, or it will trash your paintwork. Good otherwise.

It fits Nissan Qashqai & it works!
Never having used any product like this before, I was a bit apprehensive and wasn't sure it if was going to fit my car or if it will work.As suggested by another reviewer, I chose to watch a video instead of following the 2 page instructions, which was a good call I think. Wasn't too difficult to set it up, having 2 people helped as one person was able to hold the rack in place while the other put on the clips to various places on the car & tighten the belts.Took about 10 mins to set it up and we were ready to go. We needed to use only one bike for now, which fitted quite well. I had separately ordered a couple of straps to keep the front wheel steady, which came in handy. We drove from Birmingham to Cambridge on combination of motorway & A roads, and had no issues. By the end of the trip, we did notice the rack had gotten a bit wonky, most probably because I didn't tighten one side of the belt properly. Or perhaps the clip could have moved a little, loosening the belt a little.Overall, quite happy with it. Now the issue is where to store it, as it's not small :). Need to find a place in the shed.

Not suitable for Ford Kuga
Not particularly suitable for a Ford Kuga as the bottom straps cannot gain traction to the underneath of the boot door. On a positive note its lightweight and easy to adjust. Would not recommend for a Ford Kuga. The plastic straps that are meant to hold the bike frame are not robust, instead I used strong bungees straps to secure my bike to the Saris frame.

Sturdy, great bit of kit
I'm really happy with this, it appears well made, it's sturdy, secure and does the job. Thick rubber pads prevent it leaving marks on your car as some bike holders can. Build quality seems really good.

DO NOT BUY THIS!
Bought this bike rack based upon good reviews across the board. Fitted easily to the car and seemed solid. Collected my nice new Trek Hardtail to firstly find that it only just about fits 2 bikes on. As i travelled home on the motorway at 60mph. My wife noticed my bike in the mirror as it flew off the back of the car. Pulled over, had to dangerously recover the bike due to its position on the motorwayand oncoming vehicles at high speed. Upon further inspection, the clips holding the bike in place had sheared off. My new bike is now unrideable and im just thankful it didnt hit another car or cause me serious injury in recovering the bike. Like I say, DO NOT BUY!
