Soooo I wanted to take time to write this because I went through so many brands trying to find the best one out of all I think this might be the best for the price! I went through 5-6 other brands before deciding on this one and the hooks slide like butter and don’t snag at the bottom. I think the light is bright enough to help those in darkness but if you do want something like that then the plastic interchangeable hooks will be best. The light goes straight through and makes you seen so much better. Hope those who are looking for this find it! PS: I think I hold mine like a knife so if you have pencil grip it might be a bit difficult but it doesn’t hurt to try and then return!

The handle is super comfortable to hold and it's not hard to swap out the hooks at all. The set comes with a great range of sizes and had enough room in the case to store everything you need. Plus the fact that it has metal hooks means that the yarn still slips over the hooks very smoothly. The only thing with this set is that there seemed to be a bit of a film on the hooks when I first got them. But they cleaned super easy and have been a dream ever since! Plus the light is not over the top since it's also not lighting up the hooks. I use the low light when I crochet at night and it helps add just an extra touch of visibility.

I am particular about my crochet hooks. I don't like plastic hooks and I prefer an ergonomic, thicker handle. I also like to have plenty of slide room on the shaft, so short hooks are not acceptable. Good lighting is also important, especially when using dark yarn. This crochet set hits all the marks spot on! They are nicely packaged in an organized case that includes a pouch of essential accessories that fits neatly within the case. I love that it includes the majority of hook sizes I need for most of my projects. The base charges quickly and the light lasts for hours. The hooks easily attach to the base with an easy turn of the included metal wrench. Finally, I must also mention their customer service. The 5.0 mm hook was missing from my set. I received the correct number of hooks, but they accidentally included two 5.5 mm hooks instead. I messaged their customer service and they responded immediately (on a holiday weekend) to let me know they would send the missing hook right away. I had it in less than a week. This is the set to get if I you love to crochet!

I really wanted a like this hook to help me see the stitches clearly while using very dark colored yarn. This set sounded like it would be just what I wanted: it looked like it had sturdy metal hooks, an ergonomic design - kind to hands and wrists, bright illumination, overall attractiveness, light weight, rechargeable, and all in a pretty pink case. This hook set does everything it should except illuminating the dark yarn stitch you're trying to work into. :( The light itself is worthless. I tried it in bright , medium and low light settings. The high setting glares in low light settings and the low setting is so low it's barely visible. I am keeping the set only because it seems well made and is very effortless to hold and use. The pencil hold works best with it but the knife hold (my usual favorite) also works. Only very lite gripping of the hook is needed making it arthritic hand friendly. I enjoy using it. It's quite comfortable.

Just received my Yarn Mania Hook set....love it!! I opened it up....put the 3.6mm hook into the lighted handle & crocheted my first doll bootie....OMG....love, love it!! The handle is so comfortable & it was easy to install the hook tip....I used the wrench to tighten it & it worked perfectly. I bought it because I wanted to learn to crochet so when I sit & watch TV I could see my crochet stitches. I turned on the TV to watch " How to crochet doll booties" on You Tube & was able to do my first 2" doll bootie...now to do the other one. The light has 2 setting...low & high....I used the high & I could even see & count the stitches to know where I lost count. It was already charged & I was able to do the first bootie but will plug it in to charge it while I take a break to write this review. It's has other crochet tips that I'll be using also....love the case (it's a pretty & well made) & all the accessories. I am sooo excited to have this set to learn & be able to crochet all my future crochet projects.❤️👍😁

I really wanted to love this set. It is very well made, the hooks are easily interchangeable, and it charges fast. The light has two settings, one that is bright and one more dim. I liked the fact that the light came from the handle and wasn't being projected through the hook itself, like other light-up crochet hooks. My only fault with this is that I hold my crochet hook with a pencil grip, and couldn't find any comfortable way of holding this hook. The curved shape of the handle made it very difficult. I did find it comfortable when holding like a knife, but I can't crochet that way... Alas, I had to return it.

I love these hooks. They are comfortable to use. The metal is smooth. I really like the light. It is perfect in a low light environment. I would definitely recommend this hook set to anyone, beginner to experienced crocheter.

I've been using these hooks for about 4 years now and absolutely love them. Switching out the different size hooks is super easy. The light is really great for using in low light settings and has been very useful for travel or watching shows with the hubby in evenings when he prefers less light in the room. After over a year of frequent use, the handle started cracking a bit making the hook loose. I decided to contact Yarn Mania via Facebook to see if I could just replace the handle rather than ordering an entire new kit. They got back to me quickly and are sending a new handle for significantly less than purchasing a new one even though the cracking seems like reasonable wear and tear from usage and not from any defect. I'm super happy with the product and impressed by their care for their customers. I would highly recommend this product for anyone. It's the only hook I use even when not using it for the light.

Absolutely superb and worth every penny. My arthritic hands no longer hurt whilst crotcheting and I can change the way I hold it depending on how sore they are. The covering of the handle is easy to hold and doesn't slip around and the heads of the hooks are pointy enough to find the spaces in the crochet without splitting the yarn. The 2 light options are perfect and positioned exactly right to shine just on your work yet not dazzle you. The two brightness options mean I can crochet in complete darkness if I don't sleep well and don't disturb my husband. The added extras have everything you could need. Customer service is superb. This is my 3rd set of crochet hooks and by far the best! Even bought a set for my friend whose hands have been badly deformed because of arthritis. Can't recommend this product enough.

Ich hatte im Vorfeld schon eine andere beleuchtete Häkelnadel, doch die Aufsätze waren aus Plastik und manchmal drohten sie schon zu brechen. Vor allem ärgerte ich mich, das ich nirgends wo einen Aufsatz mit 2.0mm fand. Endlich hat das mit diesem Set ein Ende. Zum ersten sind die Ausätze aus Alu und damit super stabil, sind angenehm zum häkeln. Und zum zweiten, ist die Beleuchtung ein Hammer. Das Licht ist im Griff verbaut und leuchtet genau auf die Arbeit. Bei den meisten anderen Nadeln, so auch bei meinen alten blendet man sich selber! Wenn jemand ein gutes Produkt haben möchte, ist er hier mit Sicherheit richtig! KLARE KAUFEMPFEHLUNG!!! Danke für so ein tolles Produkt!

I read the reviews on this before purchasing and I must say I was not disappointed. The hooks are easy to change, you charge it and its last for ages and it does help when using dark colours. The review said you gt what you pay for and paying that little bit more was definitely worth it. There was also some accessories in the pouch so you can carry everything around with you in the pouch in case you need ot go out in a hurry. Really pleased with this and may even buy another one.
