Safari Ltd. Feathered Dinosaurs TOOB - Figurines of T-Rex, Velociraptor, Microraptor & More - Fun Educational Play Toy for Boys, Girls & Kids Ages 3+

I bought these as teaching aids to help my kids learn about different animals. Concepts are so much easier for them to grasp if they can hold and play with the animals they're leaning about, rather than just reading about them in a book. The animals are well crafted, the pieces have been nicely painted and they're fairly detailed which helps them look more realistic. They also have their names on the underside in case you need help identifying what they are. Most of the pieces in this set stand up on their own fairly well, although some are a little wobbly. The only thing I find a little cumbersome is the tube itself. While it's great for storing, it's compact size and odd shape makes it difficult to get the animals in and out - the rope handle also seems to get in the way. Other than the somewhat troublesome tube, the animals in this set are great and I will definitely be buying more of these collections.

The set itself is nice enough for a set of small dinosaur toys. They vary wildly in scale in order to fit them in the toob. The basic factory-applied paint schemes are acceptable for such small models.The feathering is better realized on some models but invisible on others. All the poses stand on their own with the exception of the flying/gliding microraptor. I like the set overalland would recommend for anyone with an interest in dinosaurs.

This was his only request for Christmas and he was not disappointed. He enjoys playing with all of them. It matches all his other animals.

The product arrived and the figures looked the same as advertised, so no problems. Very satisfied!

My preschooler is delighted with this little collection of dinosaurs. Just a note: not all the dinosaurs are actually feathered. Apparently, only so many feathered dinosaurs have been discovered, so they had to supplement with non-feathered varieties.

The updated set is not as well colored/painted. The velociraptor has no dark paint to highlight its feathered crest nor wings as shown in the video. The dilon is completely uncolored and frankly looks nude especially compared to the black example in the video. The sinornithosaurus does have dark stripes, but no white which would look fine IF the other dinos had been painted other colors. T Rex is a solid grey lacking any highlighting. Apatosaurus is a solid green lacking any highlighting. The microraptor is just blue on top and nude on bottom - not the multiple colors schemes shown in the video. The beipiaosaurus has the rey highlights, but not any other coloring so it looks nude. The Caudipteryx is very palely colored and its beak is not colored yellow to stand out... basically it looks like the bird has a sun burn on its belly and face because its nude. The pachycephalosaurus does not have any blue highlighting the head area as shown in the video. I am also disappointed with the designs because they do not make feathers clear on many of these creatures even though the tube claims these are all feathered dinos. You simply cannot convince someone that a dino has feathers when they cannot see them on the model. For example, the Psittacosaurus and Pachycephalosaurus had long thin bristles sticking out its tail that are not shown. Psittacosaurus also had very strong projects out the side of the head that are barely even there. That does make the species difficult to identify as being that species in the first place... and I don't consider bristles to be feathers in any way. Overall, I think its great there is a set out there of feathered dinos, but I lost my enthusiasm when so many were the same pale nude looking color and so many did not clearly display their feathers. I have to do a lot of research online to show the real fossil evidence. Not exactly what I had in mind.

My 3-year old daughter loves playing with these dinosaurs everywhere, including the car and the bathtub. They make their way into her bed, her backpack, and the sofa cushions! Each dinosaur has a personality and they go on adventures together, making this a perfect open-ended toy for imaginative play. There are not very many toys that she goes back to day after day, but this is definitely one of them. If you are looking for a toy with a maximum return on investment and one without the flashing lights and noise that kids tire of quickly, this is it. We have also purchased other Toob sets for several of her friends as gifts over the last two years. They are always a hit!

No está mal, pero tenemos también el otro tubo de dinsosaurios que tiene la marca y sin duda el otro modelo es mejor: Apatosaurus, Triceratops, Iguanodon, Dilophosaurus, Stegosaurus, Ankylosaurus, Tyrannosaurus Rex, Dimetrodon, Velociraptor, Spinosaurus, Diplodocus y un Pteranodon.

Avoid these. The two photos are examples of how just two black dots on each figures set of eyes justifies the term ‘Hand Painted’ The detail in sculpting is absolutely there if picked out properly with paint which it isn’t. The plastic is fine but the paint is virtually non existent. Safari LTD clearly trying to cut corners and maximise profit. If you can find an older batch/release of this set at a reasonable price even if it’s a bit more get those because the previous versions were much better painted. As things stand until Safari LTD get their quality right don’t buy their products. That’s my stance I recommend companies such as Schleich, CollectA and Papo. Sadly at one time Safari LTD used to be up there in the top recommended. But not anymore such a shame. AVOID THESE!

Piccoli ma molto carini e anche ricchi di particolari. Sotto c ' è scritto anche il nome e che ha bimbi che amano i dinosauri, sa quanto questa caratteristi a sia importante. I miei figli li adorano. Spedizione ok come sempre.

The dinos are well made and the detailing for such small figures is very good. The paint jobs are acceptable at best. But the designation of "feathered dinosaurs" is very misleading. Only about half of the figures in the tube are feathered dinosaurs. The tyrannosaurs may or maynot have had some feathers, but their inclusion in this category is questionable. But Triceratops & Protoceratops do not have feathers. Neither does Pachycephosaurs or Apatosaurus or Psittacosaurus. Dilong I am not sure about. My grandson will love this but Safari Ltd. needs to considers their labelling.
