The stand scratches easily, so be careful unpacking. Do not remove the cardboard on the horse hair - it does not come with instructions, and you need to leave it on and fit it into the slot on the helmet. The helmet itself is very strong and is 100% wearable, but it ii is not cheap cosplay plastic - it is the real deal. A great compliment to my forged iron Spartan sword. Beautiful and quality.

I was so surprised when I got this helmet. I was using it for a display in a podcast. I didn’t realize it could be worn. I didn’t realize that it was of this Quality. A gigantic pleasant surprise.

Got this helmet recently to add as a home piece, and it's pretty cool. Due to moisture in the air, when it arrived, it was 'wet', or oily - probably from the coating, but a quick wipe down and dry-off, it's fine. Nothing bad. The plume that came with it, I love that it's horsehair, the tail of it was super super long, so I shaped it to our liking. The inside of it is actually okay to wear on the head - if you want to do that, but it's not set up to be like an actual helmet, though I'm sure a little tweaking you could convert it to a wearable one. It's on Display in our home, and it's just a great reminder for us. The detailing on the metal work is pretty cool, and it's craftsmanship is well done. I do recommend to anyone interested to get this if you're wanting a display piece. The price is very good, as well. It's a little heavy, but that is expected. The stand it comes with is great, too. Nice dark finish to it, and since it's not the focal point, I'm not worried about it if it gets slightly dinged. It came in great condition. Thanks!

The only complaint i have is the small ridge that digs into my forehead when i put it on. Thankfully i dont wear it much and it sits on my desk and an awesome piece to look at! Convinced a kid on my street that im a real spartan 10/10

Very nice helmet overall. Light weight and looks pretty good. Just some small issues due to shipping. The stand had a small ding on it but it was easily repaired with a furniture repair marker. Helmet strap was a little cheapie. The horse hair plume was a little bent when pulled out of the box. Highly recommend that the seller place flat cardboard to protect the plume and the same bubble wrap used for helmet to be used on the stand.

My husband likes all things cool helmets and headwear. This was a very good purchase! Looks and feel pretty authentic and heavyweight. My husband can fit it on his head if he wants but it will obviously be used for decor. It DOES come with a three part wooden stand that you simply twist together. It is a little greasy and slippery out of the box but not enough to effect a five star rating. It comes very well bubble wrapped. My husband did not like the "tail" part of the mohawk hair so he simply cut it off and it still looks great. I would highly recommend this as a unique gift!

Helmet is outstanding! Head band was in need of repair,I fixed it. Great Helmet!

Overall, it's OK, but I deduct points for using cheap cardboard for the plume attachment, and no explanation of how to permanently secure it to the helmet. Are we supposed to just glue it in there? They could have made it a plastic attachment, at least, and included a $0.10 tube of glue.
