The question-and-answer interview style of the book is what genuinely gives these confessions of spanking trysts a vivid feeling of authenticity. It is as if one is right there listening to all these women detailing the dramatic scenes of disciplinary swats and erotically-charged cheek reddening.While the stories vary widely in setting and in the personalities of the participants, which are probably drawn from interviews over decades, each one has a very dominant/submissive edge to it that makes it feel a bit taboo or at least crossing lines that should not be crossed. The fact that these were edited down to singular intense moments in time also makes them really move.It should be clear though to any reader though that this is not really a book for people into some kind of online spanking fetish scene as many of the stories will make such individuals squirm with indignation over the fact that there is not really any contractual consent between the participants. The confessions are raw and unfiltered from moments in the actual flow of human life, with all of its gray areas of sexual indiscretions, of politically incorrect transgressions, of freakish obsessions with spanking and of illicit behavior that is generally frowned upon by socially-activist moralists.While I don’t want to give away too much about the book, there was one interview that particularly struck me the most. It was about a woman describing how she had been into spanking for as long as she could remember and was compelled to discipline herself in private from a very young age when there was no other way to get it. She began to crave it more and more over the years until it became such an obsession that she didn’t even want to get involved in a serious relationship unless it was with a man who desired to give them to her as much as she wanted to get them. It made her kind of a weird outcast until she unexpectedly got involved with a work colleague after a few drinks at an out-of-town conference. And, of course, it ended up changing her whole life in more ways than one.The stories are really all over the map - the liaison with a dominating college professor, the woman who loves to brat off and push buttons until she gets what she wants, the boyfriend into intense contact play during sex who insists his girlfriend perfect her bubble butt at the gym and shows her off in public, the American tourist who gets the carpet beater from a wild Australian man in the outback, the frenzied ménage à trois that ensues after a stranger at a party comes on to a man’s wife….they go on and on like this to the very end.In any case, well worth the read. I promise you the images will linger in your mind long after you stop reading.

ALL stories are based on spanking excitement by the person' being interviewed there was some good stories,but I felt the book was lacking in different types of stories and based soley pretty much on the samething. I felt it needed more variety.

Liked the real life stories

Though the book jacket purports that these are true stories resulting from actual interviews, the tone of the replies and the phrase-ology is extremely indictive of copy editing and literary editors. I mention this because "real stories" is displayed prominently on the cover.My biggest issue with this book is how dated and myopic the stories are. As fetishes go the spanking fetish is quite well defined as to who is into it and how one becomes a spanker or a spankee. The desire to make every scene a power struggle where wayward women are taught to act right by spanking their bottoms is just really tough to swallow. Every man in this book commits an act of sexual harassment. I'm not being a dick, I'm pointing out that kinky people have many tools in their box to get what they want from vanilla people. We don't resort to strong arm tactics. Also, it's 2023 women don't put themselves in the kinds of positions that the women in this book find themselves in. It honestly painful to try to read each story because these things don't happen in the real world. If the aim is to be playful and to present a hypothetical situation, then depicting each story as something that happened and that is a deep dark secret kind of undercuts that.You can love to spank women without coercing them into situations. Spanking is an agreement between two kinky people to do kink. As an avid proponent and participant in spanking I was offended by nearly every portrayal. The author also seems unaware that spanking involves escalation. Spanking causes desensitization of the nerve endings in your ass...so you require more force to feel each spank. The mindless wailing on someone's backside to teach them a lesson is something that teenage boys think about....the actual a fetish is far removed from that. People who run paper mills don't smell like wood and saw dust because it's a modern factory...it's like they are making paper in the 18th century.The idea that the muscle bound, scruffy, difficult man that won't take no for an answer is somehow desirable to every woman who comes in contact with him makes this book hard to read. As fetishes go, spanking is pursued by the well educated, well read set. it really out of place to portray it as a spur of the moment thing where scores of people risk their professional careers and marriages for just a small taste.
