Q: does it play DVD's that have been burned

I have burned with Windows DVD maker all types of home videos on Visa and Windows 7. I have combined my own music, Jpegs, and AVI video clips from my Canon Powershot camera. Yah, old school,but when my recent little used DVD died I was told it would be difficult to find one that would read my home videos. Well the Big box store said this one wouldn't do it, but it does and I'm going to buy another tomorrow. I tried it on an 1988 Panasonic and a Sony HD 40 Brava with excellent results. It even played VCR movies I copied in a VCR/DVD combo and played them too. I am really pleased with this purchase and bringing the Sansung back tomorrow.

As long as you have a tv the only other product you would need is a GE Composite Audio/Video Cable, these cables are the yellow, white and red cables that allow you to hear the audio from DVD player to TV, these run anywhere from $1.99 to $9.99, you can purchase at Walmart, Target, Best Buy, amazon. I hope this helps.

Q: Does this play Region 2 DVDs?

If a player won't play anything but Region 1, do a google using model number & HACK. I have been able to find hacks for video players which convert them to all region (not that you can always find such a hack). There will be likely some secret sequence of buttons to push to convert a player to all region.
