We added a full bathroom to our basement because our kids play sports and have sleepovers almost every weekend. We wanted the convenience of keeping everything downstairs including muddy athletes walking into the basement and showering before entering the main part of the house. While we could have the shower and sink lines to the Saniflo macerater we use for the toilet we decided to purchase the grey water pump for the shower and the sink for 2 reasons: 1) It would make the piping easier to connect to another pump in our configuration. 2) The Grey Water pump is super quiet and we wouldn't have to hear the larger pump run more frequently. It's been well over 2 years and both Saniflo pumps have worked great without any issues. Very happy with the added convenience of a full bath in the basement and the Saniflo product line. *The only maintenance I do is to run the descaler through the pumps every 6 months. That is a very simple process that takes little time.

It's working for about a month now. So far so good. I do not see this as a do it yourself project. Very few instructions come with it. You need to be aware that if you are using this for a washing machine, the machine has to drain into a sink first and then out from the sink in to the pump. From there it does a good job, but do not leave anything on the sink that could fall into the drain, or you will have a flood on your floor. I know.

We just upgraded out basement into an accessory apartment for my daughter and this was a vital part to making that possible. We have this installed in her kitchen and it handles all the crap that comes from the sink and dishwasher. It's relatively quiet (it's a pump, so you will get a little noise) and installation seemed pretty straightforward (our builder put it in but I didn't hear his helper cursing, which was a pretty good indication that the installation went without a hitch!). All in all a great solution for basement kitchen installations where small particles and grease may be an issue for other water pumps.

While adding a kitchen to a walkout basement I needed to pump waste water up to the main drain. The Saniflo 008 solved all the problems I was encountering. It was easy to plumb - the directions are easy to follow and there are simple drawings for various layouts. I had it installed and working within a day (also installing a sink and the water supplies). It has been in use for several weeks and no problems. It is quiet when it runs. Make sure you install the outflow pipe securely so there is no vibration. Overall it's a great solution when you need to pump sinks up to a drain. I was able to save time/money by not busting up concrete and installing new drain lines.

The product is working as promised, and the plumber I had do the installation said it was not difficult. However, the product arrived wrapped extremely tightly in heavy-duty plastic wrap, and the product, product literature, and product box were all covered with a light oil, and the product had to be wiped clean before installation. Is that how the product is normally shipped?

Working perfectly! , love it and very quiet , installed on a pedicure massager chair and cant be better , is inside and not even bothering no one on the whole place, is hard to tell , great great great! , installation wasn't that bad since plumbing was accessible and all parts where right on, no leaks since first test ,.

The plumber likes Saniflo devices and installed this one quickly and cleanly. He struggled a bit with the instructions and said they were not as clear as they could be. His company had a pump for about $100 more so I saved money and got good value. It is interesting that the Saniflo company does not want installers to run long horizontally, but demands a short horizontal run in the instruction booklet, almost immediately to a vertical one. Since the old failed pump vented into the sink, the plumber did the same with the Sanivite. I did have one part missing. A previous Saniflo Saniswift had many parts missing, requiring a return to Amazon. The Saniswift was small and would have done the job, but the price to upgrade to the Sanivite was not too much and I hoped a more expensive pump would arrive with all it's parts. With just one small piece of the Sanivite missing, I was able to call the company and they mailed me the part within the week. The Sanivite services a utility sink and a bar sink quietly and efffectively.

I had heard of sani-flo and all the different products to solve problems with non-sloping drains are very tough to slope to a drain. In this case a slab issue caused the kitchen sink drain to become unusable. It was to go outside and dig and install a 2" pvc line and cut and break up the concrete driveway and then go about 60' to to the 4" line in the back yard. I decided it was less cost and quicker to purchase the SaniiFlo and install it. I ordered this from Amazon at a good price and a few days out. Very acceptable. It arrived and I started to install it. 1. a nice small footprint for under the sink and I set flush to the left side. 2. is to connect existing sink drain to the correct top outlet. this was the quickest and easiest part 3. then I connected to the existing vent stack. (this is must or run a new vent stack.)(automatic vents not allowed) 4. lastly I ran 1" PVC as the new drain line out the wall and up on the outside of the house and then into the attic. I ran maybe 35' to a 2" cast iron vent stack, drilled a hole and inserted the 1" pipe and then sealed with Dow silicone caulk, Plugged the unit and off to the races. Very quiet and quick pumping. I would recommend this as an option. Note: This unit was the smallest one I wanted to try but it was way under utilized as it can have had more fixtures dump into it and still work great. This one was for grey water only.

We had a slow flowing floor drain in an old house. The basement shower tended to back up over the ankles at times. There is a new two inch drain pipe a foot above the floor behind the shower and this would be an ideal drain for the shower if only there was a quiet, good quality pump designed for this ... so I ordered this pump and was delighted to see the noise-dampening features it incorporates throughout, the check valves on the inlet and outlet ports, the quality of the pump and accessories ... all in all an excellent product. And so quiet when operating - a barely noticeable low rumble. But remember to take the cover off and check that the pressure switch has not been dislodged in shipping. The pump I received was like this and only took a minute to replace back into it's proper position. Cover removal was quite easy but took some care. Also a 7mm nut-driver helped with proper tightening of the provided clamps. I highly recommend this product!
